AMENDMENT OF ANNOUNCEMENT – IMPLEMENTATION OF MALAYSIAN STANDARD (MS) FOR
IMPORTATION OF IRON & STEEL PRODUCTS.

Dear Valued Customers,

Kindly be informed that importation of Iron & Steel products as stated below will be fully imposed with
Malaysia Standard (MS). This is in line with the objective of the implementation of COA procedures of which
all imported products shall comply with MS whenever available.

The transition period of this implementation is also indicated in the table below.

All importers are advised to inform the manufacturer in country of origin to produce the products according
to the MS requirements.
