CST1300 Week 14 Lab Activities

Activity 1: Supply Chain Models

Prepare a detailed supply chain analysis of one the following products:-

 Samsung Tablet
 BMW 3 series car
 Nike Air Footwear

Begin by conducting some research online to find the relevant information. Your research results
must be based on accurate, verifiable information, not guesswork.

The supply chain must be illustrated with an original diagram. Once you have gathered all the
relevant information, draw the supply chain in PowerPoint. Use the template in the lecture slides as
a starting point. Note, you will need to adapt this model to the product you have chosen.

Your diagram must show the following:-

 Different tiers or levels of suppliers
 Clear distinction between the downstream, internal and upstream components
 All flows of information, value and products
 Any relevant logistical, technical or ethical issues in the supply chain

Be prepared to present and explain your supply chain diagram if asked by your lab tutor. After
receiving feedback on your presentation, finalise the diagram in a single PowerPoint slide and
upload it to the discussion forum.
