A. Our health is important, for it is interconnected in our daily activities.
B. Not everyone are privileged to healthcare resources.
C. Government and states are responsible to uphold human rights for all citizens.
D. Healthcare is a human right.

A. Right to Health
1. Human rights include right to health.
2. States are obligated to perform this right in a system of disease prevention,
treatment and control.
3. First recognized by World Health Organization
4. Affirmed in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural
Rights (ICESCR).
B. Right to Free Healthcare: Why is it controversial?
1. Healthcare has become expensive and not everyone can afford it.
2. Free healthcare is a self-defeating argument.
3. Rights of the medical laborers, and the government taxing a citizen for another
individual’s needs.
