Abstract
This study targets to assess the ability of students in the field of Information and
Technology to adapt to different situations and challenges in the modern world. The
research has significant implications for both job seekers and employers in the current
job market. It also investigates how students from different universities compare in terms
of job placement opportunities, with a focus on postgraduates who have graduated from
Herald College. A survey of IT companies located in the Kathmandu valley was
conducted, and the results indicated that Herald graduates have a strong presence in
many of these institutions.

Our findings also suggest that British education is a strong competitor in the Nepalese IT
market, and that Herald College and F1soft share a common goal of supporting the
development of the IT sector in Nepal. In particular, it was determined that Herald
students are well-suited to F1soft due to their practical experience gained during their
undergraduate studies. These students are uniquely qualified to contribute to the
company's efforts to advance the IT industry in Nepal. (Academic Report Writing)

This study aims to evaluate the role of international cybersecurity professionals in

promoting a secure digital world. In particular, the study focuses on the Information

3.2 Body

3.2.1 Comparison with Tribhuvan University

Tribhuvan University has been regarded as one of the finest universities in Nepal, with
a strong reputation for providing high-quality education to its students. However, in
recent years, British education has gained a foothold in Nepal, and institutions such
as Herald College, which is affiliated with a university in the United Kingdom, have
emerged as strong competitors to local universities like Tribhuvan. One of the factors
that has contributed to Herald College's success is its innovative teaching method,
which combines lectures, tutorials, and workshops to provide students with a well-
rounded and interactive learning experience.

In contrast, many students have found that the course structure at Tribhuvan
University is vague and impractical, leading them to prefer Herald College as a more
effective option for advancing their careers. In particular, students interested in
studying computer science may find that Herald College offers a superior course
structure compared to Tribhuvan University, with a more focused and practical
approach to learning.

3.2.2 Comparison with Kathmandu University

Kathmandu University is currently one of the leading universities in Nepal, known for
its emphasis on practical education. This approach is based on the belief that students
cannot become fully skilled and qualified without gaining hands-on experience and
knowledge through practical studies. However, despite its commitment to practical
education, Kathmandu University has faced challenges in attracting and retaining
students, with many choosing to enroll in foreign-affiliated colleges like Herald instead.
Some students have even dropped out of Kathmandu University midway through their
semesters due to issues with the teaching and course content.

Herald College has taken advantage of these challenges faced by Kathmandu

University to promote its own programs and reputation for delivering high-quality
practical education. By highlighting the shortcomings of local universities like

5|Page

Kathmandu University and focusing on the needs and interests of students, Herald
has successfully attracted a large number of talented students from around
Kathmandu and Nepal. The college is committed to helping these students develop
their potential and pursue their passions, and has established a strong reputation for
producing highly skilled and qualified graduates.

3.2.2 Company Overview

3.2.2.1 F1Soft market analysis and its condition

F1Soft is a leading fintech company in

Nepal that has consistently driven the
country's digital transformation through its
innovative products and services. Every
year, the company introduces new ideas
and solutions that advance the fintech
sector and meet the evolving needs of
consumers and businesses. Today, Figure 4: User of Companies affiliated to F1soft
Group
F1Soft is highly sought after by banks and IT companies in Nepal, and its products
and services are widely used by millions of people.

According to data from 2021, more than 15 million people in Nepal use mobile banking
services provided by F1Soft, while 1.5 million use internet banking. One of the
company's most popular products, eSewa, has over 5 million registered users and
130,000 agents across the country. This widespread adoption has helped F1Soft to
become one of the top software production companies in Nepal and to generate over
14 million in revenue.

F1Soft's success can be attributed to its user-centered approach, which focuses on

developing products and services that meet the needs and preferences of its
customers. The company's innovations, such as Fonepay and other online services,
have contributed to the growth of the digital market in Nepal and have made it easier
for people to access and use financial services. (F1soft, 2022)

6|Page
4CI018

3.2.2.2 Product and Recruitment

Currently, F1Soft group provides mobile

banking software to more than 90% of
Nepalese banks and has contributed
significantly to the growth of digital
Figure 5: Different digital products of F1Soft
payments in Nepal, which have increased
by 80% in recent years. The company has also emerged as the highest taxpayer in
the IT sector in Nepal, despite the fact that this sector does not make a significant
contribution to the government's revenue. Some of the products developed by F1Soft
include Bank Smart, Fone Loan, Fone Savings, and Fone Points.

Herald College, which specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Data Analytics,
Predictive Analytics, and Web and Mobile Application development, has a strong
alignment with the operations and focus of F1Soft. In the past, Herald graduates may
have had limited job opportunities due to a lack of awareness about the college's
teaching methods and course content, but the increasing performance of its students
and recognition of their skills by companies within and outside of Nepal has helped to
overcome this barrier. It is possible that in the coming years, F1Soft may consider
recruiting graduates from Herald to bring new perspectives and expertise to the
company and to support its growth in the IT industry in Nepal. (omgnepal, 2022)

3.3 Conclusion

3.3.1 Why Herald Graduates?

7|Page

the qualifications and proficiency of its
employees and seeks out individuals who
possess a range of skills and abilities. In this Figure 6: Convocation of Herald Graduates

5. AI Speech/Debate

Respected teachers and my dear friends, a pleasant morning to you all. Today I,
“Pujan Pant” of BSc(Hons) Computer Science Module 4, have got chance to express
my views about the topic “Is AI dangerous for human beings” where I will explain on
behalf of the AI revolution in the world and it dangerous impact. Before going on the
topic directly I would like to give my opinions on the AI. In the simple words, AI stands
for Artificial Intelligence where it tries to act like human beings in learning and thinking
ability. Basically, AI is concluded in three types based on its potential. They are weak
AI, strong AI and super AI.Today, the world is in the race to produce extraordinary AI
tools and facilitate everyone with it features and techniques used. But people are
creating themselves in trouble on making them more superior and intelligent. For an
example, now a days, a product used in market called ‘ChatGPT’ has reduced the
thinking ability and creativity of students and employees as well. They are so much
prone to this technology that day by day it’s making them more lazy and prone to these
types if AI products. This example is just a hint how AI is destroying human beings in
every aspect. Some more reasons where AI is dangerous to human beings are listed
below:

 Impacts on creativity: Due to various AI tools developed by human beings is

impacting adversely on life of human beings and their ability. The applications
like ChatGPT is affecting a lot.
 Unemployment: Instead of assisting human beings, AI has displaced many
employees and their occupation in last few years where AI has grown very
rapidly. In case of competing with each other in increasing efficiency many
companies lays off employees every year.

On conclusion, while it's true that AI has the potential to have negative impacts on
society if not developed and used responsibly, it is not accurate to say that a specific
AI product such as ChatGPT is reducing the thinking ability and creativity of students
and employees. But it is right to say that human beings are somehow controlled by
extraordinary technology like AI. (simplilearn, 2022)
