At Burning Man, Entheos seeks to fully engage participants in Body, Mind and Spirit through interactivity that encourages
physical play, intellectual inquiry and soulful exploration. Entheos (ἔνθεος, as it is written in Greek) is a word which means,
literally, "the god within." It is the root of the English word "enthusiasm" and is, we believe, at the heart of the Burning Man
principle of Immediacy. The Burning Man Organization describes the principle of Immediacy as follows:

Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to
overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us,
participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers. No idea can substitute for
this experience.

By entheos we are not referencing a particular religion, faith or creed, rather we are pointing to a universal and personal
experience of the sacred which we believe is most clearly recognized when we gather as a community with creative intention.
This idea is the guiding light of our Burning Man theme camp, where together we build an interactive space of creativity
through ritual, music, dance, art, fire, story, food and community where others may discover and contribute their own ἔνθεος.

Entheos is a placed theme camp in good standing that produces 24/7 interactivity for all citizens of Black Rock City. While
founded in the United States, the Entheos Community now has over 600 members in 37 countries. At Burning Man each year
we reserve one third of our camp space for people who are completely new to Entheos (both Burning Man virgins and veterans).
Our chosen approach to Radical Inclusion has enabled us to develop a quite diverse group of members from around the globe.
Entheos is an easy camp to join the first year. Genuine, committed Participation is the only requirement for being invited to
camp with us again. In subsequent years, we extend invitations to members in good standing with thank you gifts based on the
Burning Man volunteer incentive model. In 2020, we are again welcoming two-thirds returning and one-third new campers.
Together, this all-volunteer camp is Gifting over 10,000 hours to create, build, operate and strike our public interactivity.

Radical Self-reliance and Decommodification at this scale require Communal Effort to efficiently build a camp in Black
Rock City without dependence upon outside vendors. The resources we have are the resources we collectively acquire, create,
transport, build, operate, strike and store for ourselves. Together we create a kitchen that prepares over 700 meals daily;
showers to get clean; a power grid for tents and RVs; communal shade; potable water; kitchen and shower grey water; a satellite
kitchen and ample space to play, learn, think, and lounge. Through our collective work and funding we keep ourselves healthy
and energetic for our primary mission, which is producing 24/7 interactivity as a gift to Black Rock City.

As we are dispersed across many states and countries around the world, we all contribute balanced amounts of time, talent and
treasure to fairly share in creating Entheos before we reach the Playa. Then about 100 of our members will enter Black Rock
City the week before Burning Man, many of whom will volunteer 60 or more hours on Playa to build camp before Opening
Day. During the event itself, to remain in good standing, all members of camp both volunteer with staffing the camp
interactivity/operations and they also help with striking camp to Leave No Trace. When planning how many days you are able
to be on Playa to participate, always count backwards from Strike and plan on being present to help until 6pm on Monday,
September 7, 2020, which is the last day of Burning Man.

 Entheos Interactivity
For this year’s dusty adventure at Burning Man, with an art theme of “The Multiverse,” we are again bringing 24/7 interactivity
to the Playa. At Black Rock City itself, the cocoon within which Entheos was formed, we will share our mission and progress
for emerging from a temporary gathering in the desert to a sustained community in the world. In 2017 we placed at H & 5:45 on
a 200’ x 300’ plot; in 2018 we were placed at Esplanade & 3:45 on a 250’ x 400’ plot; in 2019 we were placed in the double
deep Village Block at 4:00 and Fortuna on a 250’ x 650’ plot. To put this in perspective, imagine two soccer fields end to end,
or 5 acres, as the approximate size of our camp footprint. We received a 100% Green MOOP Score for our LNT in 2019.

TRAMPOLINE SPORTS ARENA (24/7) In 2018, Entheos built and operated a 44'x28', seven bed, trampoline dodge ball
court surrounded by 100 recycled IBC-water cubes that were lit with DMX-controlled lighting.

We added a total of 12
new 45 degree angle
trampoline walls as a
bowl around last year's
trampoline to create a
trampoline play arena.
That's right, you can literally bounce off the walls. The expanded
trampoline arena measures 60' long by 44' wide and stands over 13'
tall.

In 2020, we are wrapping the entire complex in a white,

opaque stretch material so we can light it with rear projection
and DMX-controlled lighting for a visually stunning arena.
The Trampoline Arena is staffed 24 hours a day with changing
activities such as: Kids First Morning Jump, Trampoline
Dodgeball, Acrobatic performances, Trampoline Dance
Parties, and late night chill.

TEMPLE OF ENTHEOS (24/7) The Temple of Entheos hosts a
broad range of communal
and sacred activities: Tai
Chi, yoga, sound healing,
meditation, chanting, drum
circles, prayer, intentional
ceremonies and joyful
celebrations. We are
tremendously excited to
bring the gift of this space to
playa. Each night, timed with sunset, there will be live music with
dancing around the Temple before heading off into the night.

ENTHEOS BAZAAR (10am to 10pm) Last year Entheos expanded its 400sqf clothing and makeup Boutique into a 1,600sqf
Bazaar. The Entheos Bazaar is an interactive and welcoming space for all of Black Rock
City's citizens, synonymous to a warm, vibrant and slightly chaotic place where a curious
soul would find many treasures, and will embark on a journey of Radical Self-expression,
sensorial discovery and fun encounters. This Bedouin-style space will offer a variety of gifts
from Entheos, enticing visitors to explore the depth of the
tent and allow the care of their souls and beauty to rest in
the hands of others. The Bazaar offers mainly six gifts:
The Boutique (Outfits and accessories for a new look); The
Makeup Station (Entheos make-up artists accent your
beauty); The Tattoo Parlour (Resident artists offer a temporary gift); The Olfactive Journey
(experience new scents and make your favorite to keep); The Desertic Sounds (Daily music
offerings from DJs and live performers); and Guest Activities (drop-in offerings like Tarot
cards and tea ceremonies).

WORKSHOP PAVILION (Noon to 6pm) In alignment with our primary mission outside of Burning Man we will again host
speakers and workshops on entheogenic medicine, harm reduction, ethical practice and peace. In addition to being good
neighbors to our next door camps, we consider our workshop offerings part of exercising our Civic Responsibility in Black
Rock City.

THE MERKABA (24/7) Entheos is installing the Merkaba, a 25’ tall star tetrahedron art installation that will provide BRC
explorers and shady place to rest by day and a color shifting beacon of light to guide their way by night. In 2018, Entheos
hosted the civic art installation Lodestar. Last year, two on playa art installations, one of which was a BRC Honoraria Grant
Recipient (Desert Bloom), were produced by members of the Entheos Community. We will again be supporting large scale art
on playa as part of our community gifting.

ENTHEOS PARTIES (daily) From the night-time

Cocktail and Dance parties to Elevated Sunset
Cocktails, we welcome Black Rock City to dance,
mingle, connect and celebrate together at Entheos.

ENTHEOS STAGE (8pm to dawn) Resident and

guest DJs turn it up from our two story stage truck,
accompanied by dancers, fire spinners and aerialist
performers. While we welcome a broad range of
exceptional music and talented artists, we especially
seek to support women DJs and musicians producing
original work in a field where men are already highly
represented.

 How to Join Entheos @ Burning Man
Entheos is a high participation camp: joining starts with a conversation to get to know one another, ask questions, and mutually
decide if Entheos is how you want to participate at Burning Man. If participating with Entheos seems like a good fit, you will be
given a unique access code to our registration platform to:

• Pay your individual 2020 cost share for Entheos and reserve your placement within camp.. This cost share will include
your base camp dues (meals, showers, infrastructure, etc.), interactivity contribution (to fund the collective gifts which
Entheos creates for Black Rock City), placement options (tent shade, special structures, RV parking, etc) and optional
resources (like power). Please note that this cost share is in addition to, and does not include the cost of, your Burning
Man ticket, which Entheos DOES NOT provide. You are responsible for purchasing your own Burning Man ticket.
• Link to our SignUpGenius page to register for volunteer participation shifts;
• Join the Entheos Slack workspace to connect with camp planning and to join the communication channels for your
volunteer shift departments.
• Get involved with the community as we work together to bring Entheos to Burning Man.

If you want to be placed near other friends/family in camp, please coordinate having your group collectively communicate this
to Entheos, before we assign access codes, to help honor your request.

Camp Cost Share Schedule for 2020

The regular 2020 Base Camp Cost Share (same as 2019) ranges from $125 to $1,000 and is calculated as follows:

• Before July 31st, the 2020 Base Camp Cost Share is $1,000 per person; unless the person has received a Low
Income Ticket from Burning Man, in which case the Base Camp Cost Share is reduced to $250.
• After August 1st, the 2020 Base Camp Cost Share for Late Registration is $1,250 per person, although this is
extremely unlikely as camp participation will likely be full for 2020 by the end of April.

The current year Base Camp Cost Share may then be further reduced by one of the following Volunteer Appreciation
Gifts:

• A 25% reduction for Returning Members in Good Standing, which may be offered as a thank you gift for
excellent camp participation last year (completing a minimum of 12 volunteer shift hours on-Playa during the
event plus 8 hours of Strike/LNT), or;
• A 50% reduction for Committed Creator Members in Good Standing, which may be offered as a thank you gift
for outstanding camp and community participation last year (qualifying as a Returning Member in Good
Standing plus volunteering an additional 100 hours with Entheos projects in the past year).

These thank you gifts are based upon, and in alignment with, the Burning Man Organization volunteer appreciation
model (which thanks significant volunteer participation last year with discounted or free Burning Man tickets for this
year). The Base Camp Cost Share minus the Volunteer Appreciation Gift is the Modified Camp Cost Share.

To the Modified Camp Cost Share add the amount for the Camping Support Option chosen by the primary person in
your group. Additional people sharing that same tent, structure or RV will receive a companion pass for that Camping
Support Option at no additional cost. The cost is as follows (chose one): Entheos walk-in camping ($0); Placed Special
Structure ($100); Tent Shade with Power ($300); Placed RV with Power ($1,000); and Companion Pass for any selected
Camping Support Option ($0)

Your Total Camp Cost Share is the sum of your Modified Camp Cost Share plus your Camping Support Option.
