the five main rules of basketball

1 - The ball can be thrown in any direction with one or both

hands; 2 - The ball can be tapped in any direction with one or both hands (never
using your fists); 3 - A player cannot run with the ball. The player must throw it
from the point where he catches it. An exception will be made for the player who
receives the ball when running at a good speed; 4 - The ball must be held in the
hands or between the hands. The arms or body cannot be used for this
purpose; 5 - Under no circumstances will it be permitted to pull, push, hold or
knock down an opponent. The first infraction of this rule will count as a foul, the
second will disqualify the player until another basket is scored and, if there is a
clear intention to injure the player for the rest of the game, the substitution of the
offender will not be permitted.
