Sci-fi consists of stories based upon theoretical discoveries,

often made in the future. As the name implies, science fiction
relies heavily on science or potential scientific breakthroughs.
Sci-fi themes often include the possible development of
human society and human knowledge.

Characteristics of Science Fiction:

 Fictional/narrative story
 Incorporates elements of science or technology

in today’s today’s world

The “founding fathers” of s.f. have to be included:

Instructions:
Narration and freeze-frame
Students should get into cast size groups and then organise
characters. They should think about setting, narration and
three key moments.

Students should then work out how to tell the story while
only creating the three freeze-frames of the key moments.
They could try to imagine that they are in a cartoon strip
where the narration represents the written word and their
freeze-frames represent the pictures of the cartoon strip.
They should also think about how they could use symbolism (Students will participate)
in the freeze-frames.
