Jul: The most surprising movie I've seen recently was "The Snow Society." It's impressive
how much these people did to survive, reaching the point of eating each other.
Luisa: The most amazing film I’ve seen recently is Red, White and Royal Blue. It´s a romantic
comedy movie who talks about gay representation and diplomatic things. I was pleased with
the end. It´s really inspiring!
• What's the most disappointing film you've seen recently?
JuI: don't really remember the name, it was an Asian horror movie, but it wasn't scary at all.
I'm really disappointed, I felt like I had lost my money
Luisa: The most disappointing movie I saw recently was El Paseo 5, I was bored and my
family wanted to go see it last month. The movie was really disappointing for everyone. It
was very repetitive and the actors were not the best.
• What is your 'film of the decade'?
Jul: I love grown ups although it is not from this decade, it is my favorite in the world, I never
get tired of seeing it
Luisa: The “film of the decade” for me is Ratched, a psychological thriller about a nurse in a

what would happen then I was petrified of the suspense. It’s a captivating film!
CONVERSATION - ROLE PLAY
(Presented in class)

Introduction:

We will have a conversation in a coffee shop, we will be two friends who have not seen each
other for some time and will try to remember old times talking about how they would feel
watching a horror movie alone at home, and in addition we will recommend each other some
films.

- Luisa: Good morning, Julieth

Julieth: Good morning, Luisa.
- Luisa: How’s it going? Long time no see!
Julieth: Everything’s fine. That´s true. We should go to a coffee shop.
- Luisa: Let’s go! I have some questions for you! Do you remember when we were
young, and we used to wonder about hypothetical situations?
Julieth: Yes, I do, I really miss those times.
- Luisa: let’s see if we still have the technique.
How would you feel if you’re at time alone, yeah, you have just watched a scary
movie and now you have to go to bed
Julieth: I’d be scared. I don’t know why I’d look at this if I know that in the middle of the night
I’d be traumatized.
- Luisa: But when you’ve done it, you really couldn’t sleep at all?
Julieth: No because I start to think that someone is watching me, and some ghost will appear
and hurt me.
- Luisa, I can’t believe it, you were braver when you were going haha. And what was
the last horror movie you watched that let you are that?
Julieth: The last one I looked was “The Exorcist: Believers”. It was really terrifying. I’m the
movie they exorcised two girls, in the end of them dies, but it was real shocking for me, and
to believe that this exists in real life.
- Luisa: It sounds interesting. I’m going to watch it.
Julieth: and what about you? You weren't that brave as you sound now.
Tell me, how would you feel if you’re at home alone and you’re watching the world’s most
terrifying horror movie?
- Luisa: I don’t usually watch horror movies honestly but I wouldn’t mind it if I have
company but if I’m alone and I have to go to sleep, I’d be petrified. I think scary
movies are terrifying but some are thrilling because they make you want to know
what will happen next.
Julieth: Yeah, you’re right. I have time without seeing a move like that, which would you
recommend me?
Luisa: I´d recommend you RATCHED, a psychological thriller about a nurse in a hospital
who becames very bad with her patiens.
Julieth: That sounds interesting!
Luisa: Yeah, it is. At first, I was desperate to know what would happen then I was petrified
of the suspense. Watch it!, you´d love it but do it at day and with company, please.
