CONCEPT NOTE

A 2020 survey of professional women reported 75% women reporting sexual harassment took place in their
workplace during their career and 57% in the prior 12 months.In the rapidly evolving landscape of modern
workplaces, the imperative to empower women and address issues like sexual harassment has garnered
unprecedented attention. Recognizing the crucial intersection between gender equality and organizational
success, there's a growing emphasis on fostering inclusive environments that prioritize safety, dignity, and
opportunity for all employees.

The upcoming seminar, titled "Empowering Women: Addressing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace," will
feature Adv. Geetika Jain, an esteemed legal expert with over a decade of experience at the High Courts of
Bombay and Goa. Geetika, a gold medalist in her BA. LLB degree, has a rich background in law, having
worked with prestigious law firms and contributed significantly to the governments of Andhra Pradesh and
Maharashtra in the regularization of government litigation. She is also a visiting guest faculty member at
numerous colleges across Maharashtra.

This session aims to delve into the nuanced challenges and opportunities surrounding the issue of sexual
harassment in the workplace, with a specific focus on empowering women to speak up, fostering supportive
organizational cultures, and implementing robust policies and procedures to prevent and address harassment.
