Picture 1 :

An old man, sitting in a dark and dusty cave. He looks sad but wise, calm but angry at the same
time. Wrinkles all around his face surrounding him. A beard as white as a pearl and a mustache
as hairy as a bear. Looking through his eyes deep into his soul, his concentrated stare hurts my
eyes. Little hair lines sticking through his head like plants growing in the soil. The old man looks
hurt, and disturbed by something. There was nothing around him, no interactions around him,
just silence. With no family, no food, and no necessities, he is living a harsh life. So dark and
silent, the walls in the cave stared into his eyes with no hope left. Looking like a teacher or a
master, his patience is immense. Looking closely at his face, he seems old, above a 100 years
old. We don’t know his name, or where he was born. All we know is that his soul is rotten. There
was something at the back of the picture, a note from him. It stated, “Wherever my family or
friends are, I have abandoned them, Sorry.” I remember finding this photo in my grandma’s
storeroom. I decided to ask her who this old man was. I found her in the garden and questioned
her. She said, “Where did you find this picture??” “Answer the question, Grandma!, I exclaimed”
She replied, “That is your long lost grandfather…”

Picture 2 :

A young woman rock climbing, struggling, and shedding sweat. She enjoys climbing the
mountains with her brother, Davis. She is climbing Mount Kinabalu, which is known as a
dangerous and tall mountain. She has been training for this for more than two years. Dania,
which is the woman's name, has little to no experience with rock climbing. She had gotten
interested when they went rock climbing for her birthday. Her brother happened to be the state's
best rock climber, so they went on a journey. When she went halfway up the mountain, she was
exhausted. At one point, she slipped and almost fell down to her death, but Davis reacted
quickly and pulled the rope holding her. She thanked her brother very much and they continued
after a little break. On the way, they had met new people and they became friends.

Picture 3 :
The storm

We were going to go for a picnic when the clouds went black. It started pouring cats and dogs.
We all ran towards the car when we saw it. Two colours of thunder. Blue and red, it was
beautiful. We got so distracted we almost hit a tree, but luckily dad was an expert driver and he
narrowly avoided it. The storm was getting so bad we saw trees bending. The lightning hit hard
and strong. We were scared we were gonna get hit by lightning and burn to death. Both clouds
were striking and taking over the city. Our home was pretty far from the picnic place so we were
scared it would flood. Plus, since there were a lot of people, the road was bottled up and traffic
was bad. There was a hotel near by so we decided to stay there, but then the junction to turn to
the hotel was flooded. So there was no way out. I was surprised because what was supposed to
be a sunny picnic day turned out to be a one way to our deathbeds. And as if things could not
get worse, one of the cars infront of us had got into an accident. We were lost, confused and
worried.
Picture 4:
The music man

Sitting on the pavement, with all his instruments in hand. Giving entertainment to all the people
walking. Sweat dripping from his head-to-toe, carrying instruments almost as heavy as him.
Trying to make money for his family. Performing a swedish song at Japan, people did not
understand him. He has experience performing on streets with thousands of people watching
him. It takes lots of courage and guts to perform. This was one of the busiest streets in the
world. He had lots of competition in the crowd but he still stood out in the crowd with all his
instruments. He had so many that you could not name all of it. I asked him, “How long do you do
this for?” and he replied, “8am to 5pm.” To me that was crazy as he did not even have a chair to
sit. I am guessing that he had lunch time but that was it. He was so famous that he even had a
crowd cheering him on whenever he played a song. There were posters everywhere about him.
Apparently he had been doing this for 10 years.
