Objectives:
The children must learn to:
• Sing “The wheels on the bus”.
• Color and draw different transportation vehicle.
• Write letter F,G,H,I and J.

Pre-Immersion Reflection:
 What are my expectations for this immersion activity? –I expect to be enjoyable and
exciting for the children our new lesson and games.
 What am I hoping to learn or gain from this experience? –As a student who taking a
course of education, I want our every immersion to be knowledgeable and to gain
teaching techniques and styles for my future career and job.
 What are some of the potential challenges that I may encounter? – The potential
challenges that I see are how to get the attention of all the students and get their
participation.

During the Immersion:

 Observations: I’ve seen that the students paying attention to our lessons, following our
instructions and participating in games, they have too much energy on participating in our
activities.
 Activities: At first, we did their morning ceremonies, like singing the national anthem and
praying. And then, we started to teach them to sing “The wheels on the bus." Then, teach them
to write letters F,G,H,I and J. Then we proceed with the coloring different transportation vehicle
and we ask them to draw what vehicle they want.
 Interactions: At the time we arrived in the area, the parents of the children began to greet us.
And right after we enter the room, the children stand up and also greet us, together with the
teacher. And before we left, they said thank you and goodbye to us.
 Insights and Learnings: My insight into our immersion is that the behavior of the students
depends on how the educator perceived it. For example, I perceived an energetic daycare pupil
as a participative in the activities, it means that they enjoying the lesson, but some of educators
seeing them as “makulit”.
 Challenges and Obstacles: One challenge that we encountered was some of the student
don’t have coloring materials that needs in coloring activity. We overcome it, because the
parents of some students who have colors let the other to borrow from their children.

Post-Immersion Reflection:
 How did the immersion activity meet your expectations?
-It exceeded my expectations; the students are very entertained and participative. The
students are energetic.
 What surprised you the most about the experience?
-I was very surprised that some of the students telling to me what they want even though
they seeing us in limited time, some telling me to open there snacks. And, there’s two
girls who approach me, the one tell she wants to pee and the want feeling poop.
 What were some of the key takeaways or learnings from this activity?
- My key takeaways are that it is crucial to have know how to approach a child and how to
overcome circumstances.
 How can you apply the knowledge or skills gained to your daily life or future endeavors?
-It can help me in my daily life because I also have a toddler nephew who also attends
daycare. Which means having an experience like this can help me determine what
approaches I can take to teach my nephew.
 What aspects of this immersion would you like to learn more about?
 -I want to learn more about teaching techniques and how to instruct them properly to
follow.
