DEFINITION OF TERMS

Experience. It speaks about how students have used social media as a teaching

and learning tool. This shows what they’ve gone through and the difficulties they faced.

Learning Tool. Refers to digital tools or platforms that take advantage of the

social aspects of the internet to allow people to interact, communicate, work together, and

express themselves artistically. These technologies make use of network technology to

enable social interactions and engagements amongst users.

Perception. Signifies each student’s particular personal interpretation,

comprehension, and assessment of social networking sites as teaching resources in a

classroom setting. It includes their attitudes, views, and general perceptions on the

suitability, efficacy, and usefulness of social media platforms in supporting their

educational journey.

Social Media. Relates to digital tools or platforms that take advantage of the

social aspects of the Internet to let people interact, communicate, work together, and

express themselves artistically.
