African Languages

Niger Congo: The largest language family in Africa, It's mostly spoken in the Western, Central &
Southeastern regions of Africa.

Later subdivided into Bantu & Non-Bantu by geographical locations.

Bantu Xhosa, Ndebele, Zulu, Tswana, Swati, Sotho, Southern Sotho, Venda and Tsonga
Other Nilo-Congo languages include: Yoruba, Kurundi, Sesotho, Shona, Lingala.

Afro-Asiatic: Is the 2nd widely spoken language family in Africa, The most widely spoken language from
this language family by far is Arabic. Mostly spoken around regions like Northern and Eastern part of
Africa. e
Other Afro-Asiatic languages include: Amharic, Ge'ez, Oromoigna , Somalian, Berber & Hausa.

Nilo-Saharan: Is the 3rd widely spoken language family in Africa, mostly spoken in Southern parts.
Nilo-Sharan languages include: Lugbara, Zarma, Dholuo.

Khoisan: widely spoken around Southeastern parts of Africa.
