This course introduces to students the nature and extent of crime, its causes and society’s reaction to it. Students will have the opportunity to understand and become
familiar with the various explanations of criminal behavior and crime due to biological, psychological, sociological and environmental factors, based on the theories
formulated by earlier philosophers.

I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course covers the study on human behavior with the emphasis on the concept of human development and abnormal behavior. It includes strategies and approaches for handling different
kinds of abnormal behavior interaction to law enforcement and criminal proceedings. It also includes the study of victimization, the role of community and techniques in assisting offenders’
reintegration and victims’ recovery for the purpose of forensic victimology is aimed to accurately, critically, and objectively describe the victim to better understand victims, crime, criminals,
and forensic issues. Forensic victimology is an applied discipline, intended to be employed as an objective scientific practice

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course deals with the basic concepts and definitions of Juvenile, delinquent person, Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Justice System. It includes the nature, theory, history, theories and behavior of juvenile
delinquents. It also involves the different contributory factors affecting juvenile delinquency problems. It recognizes the Philippine Juvenile Justice System which focuses on P.D 603 and R.A 9344 as amended as
well as other legal parameters providing protection for the youth and measures in juvenile crime prevention.

Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior
