Lesson Plan - Classfication of Angles
Lesson Plan - Classfication of Angles
GRADE 7 MATHEMATICS
SECOND QUARTER
A. Developmental Activities
1. Drill
“Who am i?”
I am a polygon with three sides. I can be found in a pyramid and in a relationship. Who am I?
I am a four sided polygon. My sides are congruent and perpendicular to each other. Who am I?
I am a six sided polygon with all sides are congruent. Who am I?
2. Motivation
Give each pair of student two pieces of card board and show them how to connect their
corners using paper fastener. This makes students manipulate the card board to form any type of
angles. Show an illustration of an acute, right and obtuse angle on the board but do not label
them. Students will likely discover that the angle between 0 and 90 are acute angles, angles
exactly 90 are right angles and angles between 90 and 180 are called obtuse angles.
4. Abstraction
Classification of Angles
According to Angle Measurements
1. Zero Angle – is an angle that measures exactly zero degree.
4. Obtuse Angle – is an angle that the measurement is between 90 and 180 degrees.
6. Reflex Angle – is an angle that the measurement is between 180 and 360 degrees.
7. Complete Angle (Perigon) – is an angle that measures exactly 360 degrees.

B. Generalization
An angle is the amount of turn between two straight lines that have a common end
point (the vertex).
There are 2 classification of angles; first based on their angle measurement and lastly is
based on their angle pair.
a. Zero Angle
b. Acute angle
c. Right angle
d. Obtuse angle
e. Reflex angle
f. Straight angle
g. Complete angle(pedigon)
a. Complementary angle
b. Supplementary angle
c. Linear pair
d. Vertical angle
e. Adjacent angle
