Human is a social beings who always need attention, friends, and afction of each
other. Every self-bound with various forms bond and relationship, among others
emotional connection, social, economic, and relationship of humanity other. Then for the
sake of reach those needs is the nature of always try to do good against each other.
Muslim very understanding it is, therefore relationship brotherhood must be carried out
with a good.

DISCUSSION

A. Reading Text

Human is a creature of Allah, human is a social being who can not life without the
help of others. Islam is a religion of Rahmatan lil ‘alamin has become a necessity for every
Muslim to maintain good relationships, both within the scope of family, society, and with the
state. In the teachings of Islamic religion all human beings equal status in the eyes of Allah,
which distinguishes only from the level of one’s devotion. Islam educates its people to forbid
individuality, but always enjoins its people to always establish good relationship with each
other, which in religion is known as Ukhuwah Islamiyah or islamic brotherhood. Ukhuwah
Islamiyah the supposed to be spirit of new religious life, so religion make an atmosphere
soothing not the spread ao hatred. Ukhuwah or brotherhood with muslims not be Ukhuwah
Islamiyah when accompanied by mutual harm and hurt. But, when brotherhood with others
although different confidence at the time it was also the brotherhood of it being ukhuwah
islamiyah.

Said ukhuwah derived from Arabic word is basically akh which means brother, while
the word ukhuwah means brotherhood. As for the term ukhuwah islamiyah is the power of
faith and spiritual given God to his servant believers and fear that grow a feeling affection,
brotherhood, glory, and trust towards sisters one confidence. With ukhuwah will arise attitude
help each other, understanding and not oppress treasure and honor other people all it appears
because God alone. Such as the word of God in the Qur’an Surah Al-Hujurat verse 10:

‫ِإَّنَم ا اْلًم ْؤ ِم ُنْو َن ِإْخ َو ٌة َفَأْص ِلُحْو ا َبْيَن َأَخ َو ْيُك ْم َو اَّتُقْو ا َهللا َلَع َّلُك ْم ُتْر َحُم ْو َن‬
“The real people believers are brothers. Therefore, reconcile the siblings of you, and fear of
you to God so that you get Grace”.(Al-Hujurat: 10)

‫وَاْع تِصُم وْا ِبَح ْبِل هللا َجِم ْيًعا َو َال َتَفـَّرقُو ا َو اْذ كُـُرو ِنْع َم َت هللا َع َلْيُك ْم ٍإْذ ُكْنُتْم َأْع ـَداًء َفَأَّلَف َبْيَن ُقلُـوِبُك ْم َفَأْص َبْح ُتْم ِبِنْع َم ِتِه ِإْخ َو اًنا‬
“And sticking you all with rope God and do not all broken to pieces, and remeber favors God
on all of you when you hostile then he God tame between the heart you then you become
brother”. (Ali Imran: 103)

 Like in the Hadith the Messenger of the rings: “Believers to each other like a building
partly strengthen the other”.(Narrated Bukhari). In the history of the other Prophet said:”The
parable of the people who believe in love, love each other, and each other love is like the one
body, if one of its member illness, then the entire body also feel the suffering with can’t sleep
and feel the heat”.(Narrated Bukhari and Muslim). From Bukhari and Muslim narrations: The
Muslim is another Muslim brother, he will not persecute him and will not surrender it (to the
enemy). Whoever is in the needs of his brother then Allah is in his needst. Whoever eliminate
a difficulty from the Muslims, then Allah will eliminate one of difficulties exist on the Day of
judgement. And whoever cover disgrace a Muslim, then God would cover (her shame) on the
of the Day of Resurrection. There are some wisdom that we have to take to establish
Ukhuwah Islamiyah in everyday life, among others:

a. The creation of a strong solidarity between fellow Muslims with the presence of
tolerance, the feeling of happines when others are happy and feel sadness when others
struck disaster, will produce a strong solidarity attitude among fellow Muslims.
b. The creation of national unity and unity. If a Muslim is able to give affection to other
Muslims, and the love affection is manifested in various aspects of life we will feel how
joy of togetherness as a Muslim and a strong and strong nation and and not easy in a
sheep race full of will split.
c. The creation of harmonious life among fellow citizens. If a Muslim able to appreciate and
respect others in various ways, such as appreciating the differences, both in terms of
language, culture, and religious understanding laden with the differences of madhhab and
opinion, we will feel the enjoy of living in a difference framed on the basis Ukhuwah
Islamiyah by considering the difference as a mercy on God’s love for all servants.1
B. Translate

Manusia adalah makhluk ciptaan Allah, manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang tidak
bisa hidup tanpa bantuan orang lain. Islam adalah agama rahmatan lil ‘alamin sudah menjadi
keharusan bagi setiap muslin untuk menjaga hubungan dengan baik, baik dalam lingkup
keluarga, masyarakat, maupun dengan Negara. Dalam ajaran agama Islam semua manusia
sama statusnya di mata Allah, yang membedakan hanya dari tingkat ketaqwaan seseorang.
Islam mendidik umatnya melarang besifat individual, tetapi selalu menyuruh umatnya untuk

selalu menjalin hubungan yang baik kepada sesamanya, yang dalam agama dikenal dengan
ukhuwah islamiyah. Ukhuwah Islamiyah tersebut seharusnya menjadi spirit baru dalam
kehidupan beragama, sehingga agama menjadikan sebuah suasana yang menyejukkan, bukan
yang menebar kebencian. Ukhuwah (persaudaraan) dengan orang Islam tidak menjadi
ukhuwah Islamiyah, ketika disertai dengan sikap saling merugikan dan mendhalimi. Tetapi,
ketika persaudaraan dengan orang lain meskipun berbeda keyakinan, pada saat itu juga
persaudaraan itu menjadi ukhuwah Islamiyah.
Kata ukhuwah berasal dari bahasa arab yang kata dasarnya adalah akh yang berarti
saudara, sementara kata ukhuwah berarti persaudaraan. Adapun secara istilah ukhuwah
islamiyah adalah kekuatan iman dan spiritual yang dikaruniakan Allah kepada hamba-Nya
yang beriman dan bertakwa yang menumbuhkan perasaan kasih sayang, persaudaraan,
kemuliaan, dan rasa saling percaya terhadap saudara seakidah. Dengan berukhuwah akan
timbul sikap saling menolong, saling pengertian dan tidak menzhalimi harta maupun
kehormatan orang lain yang semua itu muncul karena Allah semata. Seperti firman Allah
dalam Al-Qur’an surat Al-Hujurat ayat10 :
‫ِإَّنَم ا اْلًم ْؤ ِم ُنْو َن ِإْخ َو ٌة َفَأْص ِلُحْو ا َبْيَن َأَخ َو ْيُك ْم َو اَّتُقْو ا َهللا َلَع َّلُك ْم ُتْر َحُم ْو َن‬

“Sesungguhnya orang-orang Mukmin adalah bersaudara. Karena itu, damaikanlah kedua

saudara kalian, dan bertakwalah kalian kepada Allah supaya kalian mendapatkan rahmat.”
(QS al-Hujurat :10).

“Dan berpegang teguhlah kamu sekalian dengan tali Allah dan janganlah kamu sekalian
berpecah belah, dan ingatlah nikmat Allah atas kamu semua ketika kamu bermusuh-musuhan
maka Dia (Allah) menjinakkan antara hati-hati kamu maka kamu menjadi bersaudara.” (QS.
Ali Imran :103).

Seperti juga dalam hadits Rasulullah yang berbunyi :” Mukmin satu sama lainnya
bagaikan bangunan yang sebagiannya mengokohkan bagian yang lainnya”.(H. R. Bukhari).
Dalam riwayat yang lain Nabi bersabda:“Perumpamaan orang-orang yang beriman dalam hal
saling mencintai, saling mengasihi, dan saling menyayangi adalah bagaikan satu jasad, jika
salah satu anggotanya menderita sakit, maka seluruh jasad juga merasakan (penderitaannya)
dengan tidak bisa tidur dan merasa panas.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim). Dari riwayat Bukhari

dan Muslim: “Orang muslim adalah saudara muslim lainnya, ia tidak akan menganiayanya
dan tidak akan menyerahkannya (kepada musuh). Barang siapa ada didalam keperluan
saudaranya maka Allah ada didalam keperluannya. Barangsiapa menghilangkan suatu
kesukaran dari orang muslim, maka Allah akan menghilangkan satu kesukaran-kesukaran
yang ada pada hari kiamat. Dan barangsiapa yang menutupi (aib) seorang muslim, maka
Allah akan menutupi (aibnya) pada hari kiamat.” Ada beberapa hikmah yang harus kita ambil
untuk menjalin Ukhuwah Islamiyah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari antara lain:
a. Terciptanya solidaritas yang kuat antara sesama Muslim dengan adanya saling tepa selira,
merasakan kebahagiaan ketika orang lain bahagia dan merasakan kesedihan ketika orang
lain ditimpa musibah, akan membuahkan sikap solidaritas yang kuat diantara sesama
muslim.
b. Terciptanya persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Apabila seorang muslim mampu memberikan
kasih sayang terhadap muslim lainnya, dan kasih sayang tersebut diwujudkan dalam
berbagai aspek kehidupan kita akan merasakan betapa nikmatnya kebersamaan sebagai
umat Islam dan bangsa yang kuat dan kukuh dan tidak mudah di adu domba yang sarat
akan perpecahan.
c. Terciptanya kerukunan hidup antara sesama warga masyarakat. Apabila seorang muslim
mampu menghargai dan menghormati orang lain dalam berbagai hal, seperti menghargai
adanya perbedaan, baik dalam hal bahasa, budaya, maupun pemahaman agama yang sarat
akan perbedaan madzhab dan pendapat, kita akan merasakan betapa nikmatnya hidup
rukun dalam sebuah perbedaan yang dibingkai atas dasar Ukhuwah Islamiyah dengan
menganggap perbedaan sebagai rahmat atas kasih sayang Allah kepada semua hambanya.

CLOSING

A. Conclution
Relationship brotherhood of Islam is not just relationship established through the
relationship blood, but thr relationship fellow Muslims who grow a feeling affection,
brotherhood, glory, and trust towards sisters one confidence. Relationship fraternal fellow
Muslims have a duty to help each other, respect, pray, ban each other denounced, ban
each other inciting and so forth in order to Muslims can live with peace and prosperity
without split.
B. Suggestion
Suggestion from the author is we as Muslims have to able to keep the Brotherhood in
Islam so that we can live with peace and prosperity without split between fellow Muslims
and the entire human.
