Ang kuwentong ito ay nilikha para sa mga

mag-aaral sa ikatlong baitang. Ito ay binuo upang
magkaroon ang mga mag-aaral ng kasanayan sa
pagbabasa, pakikinig, pagsulat at pagsasalita.

Ang kuwentong ito ay pinili at isinaayos upang

kapulutan ng aral at makatulong upang
mapaunlad ang kakayahan ng bawat mag-aaral
lalo’t higit sa pagbabasa.

Isang araw, habang siya’y naliligo at

nagtatampisaw sa lagaslas ng tubig sa
talon ay nakarining siya ng kakaibang
tunog. Hindi niya maipaliwanag kung
anong uri ng ungol ng hayop ito,
sapagkat kakaiba at napakalakas na
noon lamang niya napakinggan.

mga hayop. Natatakot man pero naroon

Buod

Ang kuwentong Si Tamaro sa Kagubatan ay tungkol sa

isang tamaraw na piniling mag-isa sa liblib ng kagubatan at
maging malayo sa mga kasamahang hayop.

Isang araw sa kanyang pamamasyal, naligalig siya sa

kanyang narinig at nakita. Nabahala siya sapagkat
nalalagay sa panganib ang kagubatan. Doon niya naisip
na napakahirap ng nag-iisa. Nagpakumbaba si Tamaro at
lumapit sa mga kasamahang hayop at humingi ng tulong.

Sama-samang nag-isip ng paraan ang mga hayop

upang maisalba ang kagubatan sa kamay ng mga
mapanirang mga tao. At napatunayan din ni Tamaro na
hindi siya maaring mag-isa. Kailangan niyang mabuhay na
may mga kasama at kaibigang aagapay sa kanya sa
panahon na mangailangan siyang tulong.
