1. “Most high level positions are filled by men even though the workforce in many developed countries
is more than 50 per cent female, so companies should be required to allocate a certain percentage of
these high level positions to women.” Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use specific

2. Many scientists predict that thanks to the advancements in science, people will be able to live up to
100 years and beyond easily within the next few decades. Some people think that having a very long life
will be great for everybody, while others believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages when
everybody will be capable of living that long. Which viewpoint do you agree with? Support your choice

3. In many countries including Turkey, many couples spend a lot of money on their wedding
ceremonies or parties. Some people believe that spending a lot of money on wedding is justifiable for
