Jesus Makes Us
Pleasing To God
Unit 4 Lesson 3
What will help us face difficult situations?
What will help us accomplish great things?
Is it determination?
Is it courage or is it love?
“I ask you, ’How many times will
you pick me up when I keep on
letting you down?’ And each time
I will fall short of your glory how
far will forgiveness abound? And
you answer, ‘My child, I love you
and as long as you’re seeking
my face. You’ll walk in the
power of My daily sufficient
grace.”

Introduction
When Jesus died, the
apostles became afraid
and felt uncertain:
● They will no longer be able
to carry out the tasks He
entrusted to them.
● They feared that they too
will face persecution and
worse, death.
Aware of their
feelings, Jesus gave
an assurance – He
promised to send an
Advocate – the Holy
Spirit that they
receive during the
Pentecost.
The grace of the
Holy Spirit,
emboldened,
fired them up
and make their
love stronger.
Yes, they suffered
hardships,
persecutions, and
death but the
grace of God is
stronger.

automatic or permanent.
We should also need to
cooperate on God’s will in
every moments of our life.
