Robotics: Ditching the Old Method or Fine-tuning

the Future of Tech-Based Education

I. Introduction

Robotics frequently has implications with humanoid figures, and occasionally, with a

dash of fantasy, it is associated with mechanical weapons such as laser beams and blast

cannons. However, the problem is that when we hear the word robotics, we automatically

associate it with things we see in movies that aren't even real. In our daily lives, robotics are

used to help humans with various tasks such as harvesting crops, preparing farmlands with

tractors, grilling meat, cutting wood, and so on. Since it is made to carry out human-

traditioned jobs, there are more potential to boost output, create new revenue streams, and

expedite infrastructure development. To dispel a common misconception regarding robotics,

the robots are termed "Androids" and have artificial intelligence that allows them to perform

out activities independently and make simple decisions. Robots do not resemble humans or

any aspect of us. The idea of robotic movies that were like Terminators also magnetized my

thoughts as well, and occasionally it received backing by some of our elderly relatives—our

grandfather and uncle in particular—who disclosed to me that Terminators are robots that are

not the same as androids. Nonetheless, in this day and age, we can easily look up articles and

research papers online to verify the existence of these "things," that investigate what a robot

actually is, and even yield groundbreaking concepts regarding designing or even

manufacturing a robot to assist us in our day-to-day activities. Having said that, given we live

in a generation that depends heavily on technology and the internet, it will also enable us to

realize how far technology has come. Without any further nonsense, let's evaluate the facts
Science, Technology and Society

and weigh the benefits and drawbacks of robotics, which could lead to many unanticipated

findings or perhaps cause us to reevaluate our ridiculous beliefs. Allow us to inquire about

whether it affects our educational system and how it can provide us with the hands-on

learning that educators and philanthropists like you fervently are seeking.

II. Pros and Cons

Before we talk about the benefits and drawbacks of robotics, let me briefly explain

something I've observed on the the online world: in the last several months, a trend called the

"uncanny valley" has appeared in my algorithm. Perhaps this is because I enjoy watching

tech-based movies? Individuals frequently use whitening cream, powders, or other cosmetics

to make oneself appear whiter, and then they behave or move like robots. Creating an eerie

and unsettling appearance, subsequently this fad was abandoned as if it had never taken off.

Moving forward, robotics reflects both the complexity of our contemporary day and human

growth in addition to helping us in our daily lives. The first benefit of robotics is that it (1)

facilitates comprehensive learning, enabling us to comprehend the intricacy of concepts piece

by piece. For instance, a motherboard can have hundreds or even thousands of components,

depending on the machine or equipment to which it belongs. By teaching us a number of

techniques for comprehending, interacting with, or applying one's theorem, it challenges the

standard methods of learning. Second, (2) it helps us improve our life skills and offers

personalized learning. The result of the study of science and engineering, robotics is

essentially a reflection of human intelligence. As such, it benefits a wide range of individuals

in the modern world by aiding in areas like as programming, web development, infrastructure

design, architectural architecture, and altering atmospheric natural signals. Moreover,

robotics (3) can improve our ability to communicate, transform creative approaches to

building a more capable machine that can offer conversational, even immediate, feedback,

and support all things related to science, math, and philosophy. Then the (4) Quality control,
Science, Technology and Society

employees who are forced to do the same tasks again become disinterested and lose focus.

This brief disregard is known as "watchfulness reduction," and it frequently leads to both

infrequent but potentially disastrous personnel injuries and expensive blunders for the

business. Robotic automation produces and evaluates items on a regular basis, ensuring that

they always fulfill specifications and removing any potential dangers. Better items produced

more frequently provide up a wide range of business prospects. Lastly, (5) the work in a risky

environment where employees in a variety of industries may be required to carry out their

activities in perilous or unstable surroundings, further contributing to the risk of getting

injured at work. For instance, robotic automation is the greatest option in situations when

there are many dangers since it will continue to operate as intended.

With regard to the sensitive nature of the work they do, production facilities that

demand extraordinarily cold or hot temperatures occasionally involve a significant risk.

Thanks to robotic technology, people shouldn't have to take needless risks in a place of

employment like this. These are the principal drawbacks of robotics as they currently exist,

albeit. First, (1) employee jobs are one of the main concerns with the deployment of robotic

automation. The worry is that if a robot can work faster and more consistently, people might

not even be required. Although these concerns are legitimate, they are not entirely true. The

(2) second most important element is the initial cost of robotics, which is one of the main

variables influencing a corporation's decision to invest in robotic automation at this moment.

To evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of such a significant expenditure, a thorough business

case must be prepared. Nevertheless, the advantages can be significant over a short time.

Even while it wouldn't be worth it to jeopardize the company's viability for a meager return,

maintaining a steady cash flow in the short-term is essential. It is usually easier to handle and

manage money when there is a predetermined payback timetable in place. Lastly, (3) it lacks

originality and imaginative thinking; it merely works. Robots cannot interact with humans in
Science, Technology and Society

the same way. Robots lack empathy, which is a disadvantage when it comes to their use in

the job. A tailored human touch is required for some jobs, such as making artwork,

animations, movies, and other creative pursuits. There will be negative economic effects for

the globe as well. This could happen if the robotic equipment you employ for work breaks

down. If large costs are needed in addition to regular equipment maintenance, the return on

capital will be lower. In the future, the generation of electronic waste might potentially

become problematic. People arguing about robots versus humans in social settings are likely

to get into arguments.

III. Reflection

According to this research article, things are becoming out of control and

apprehensive We are grateful for the existence of these machines and so-called robotics, but

we grow too reliant on them, and in the worst-case scenario, it causes us to be late and lose

sight of what it means to be human. In other words, we are becoming heartless, lacking

originality, inventive thinking, and becoming a medium of destruction. It's funny how we

prefer to believe those CGIs on TV, and it's almost like getting drunk on narcotics. Our minds

are constantly inundated with annoyances and misapplications of this clever gadget. I hope

we don't turn into a bother, a destroyer, or a monster that pursues destruction and then

devolves into foolishness. Let us use robotics efficiently and with good etiquette, similar to

how we use social media, "Think before you click."
