locations, and choose an item to generate (for example cars, weapons, people, and
weather). In medical diagnosis a computer could be used to determine the required
treatments based on data of the patient.

Artificial Intelligence has also become useful in robotics. AI scripts can be stored
on the robot's hard disk, and the capabilities of those scripts can include
determining what to do depending on input from a camera, a microphone or other
device. In this era, a robot can be made to move things, generate 3D maps of
areas, record videos and sounds, and operate certain machines, at a high cost of
course. Robots may also be used in the future for warfare. They would have to be
built strong and know how to fire weapons. A robot could know when a robot on the
same team is nearby so then they could wirelessly exchange data about what to do.
This is where the Artificial Intelligence comes in. It would be used to make choices
about what the robot should do with the data the robot acquired about the enemy.

Likewise, Artificial Intelligence could be used for robots that are not designed for
warfare. It’s also possible to have a robot that cleans up the house or does other
hard work. For it to be able to do this it will have to create a map of your place and
save it to the disk so that it knows where everything is and where to do everything
that it needs to do. Other useful functions of a general purpose robot could include
shoveling the snow, digging, or using speech to interact with people in an expressive
way, unlike the current technology which allows a computer to talk, but in a
monotonous way with no expression. The first generally available robot will
probably be able to do these tasks for you while you are away at work or school,
but you shouldn’t trust the technology too much when its first version gets
released. When something gets released for the first time, whether it be a new
version of windows, a videogame console or a new technology, it will usually have
many flaws that haven’t yet been fixed or will be terribly overpriced, so stay away
from the new technology when it becomes first available and wait for newer
releases of either the hardware or the software.
