Ingredients filling:

-2 medium onions, chopped


-1.5 lbs ground beef
-2tps vegetable oil
-2 medium carrots, chopped
-4 tomatoes
-1 tbsp thyme
-Salt and black pepper

Ingrdients topping:
-4 large potatoes
-4 tbsp (half a stick) butter
-1/4 lb Cheddar cheese
-3 tps milk

Method filling:
Preheat the oven to 190C/375F
Step 1:Chop the vegetables in small pieces
Step 2:Add salt and black pepper to the ground beef
Step 3:Fry the ground beef for 3 minutes
Step 4:While the ground beef is frying add the thyme
Step 5:Fry the vegetables with the vegetable oil, over medium for 5 minutes until
soft.
Step 6: Mix ground beef with the vegetables
Step 7: Cover and cook for 30 minutes

Method topping:
Step 1:Boil the potatoes in water until soft
Step 2:Mash the potatoes
Step 3:Melt the butter
Step 4:Mix the milk, the mashed potatoes, butter and the cheese
Step 5:Season with salt and pepper

Preparation:
Today we are preparing Shepherd´s pie, we will begin preheating the oven to
190C/375F, to
first the filling will be prepared, chop the vegetables (carrots, onions
and tomatoes) in small pieces, already chopped we put them in a pan with
vegetable oil to fry them for 5 minutes over low heat. Then add salt and
black pepper to the ground beef and fry the ground beef for 3 minutes in a
pan with vegetable oil while the ground beef is frying add the thyme. Now we
will mix the ground beef with the vegetables, this is covered and cooked for
30 minutes
Later make the topping. First we will boil the potatoes in water until soft
already boilded now mash them, after that melt the butter to mix it with the milk
and
the mashed potatoes, do not forget to season with salt and pepper to taste.
Finally, put butter around the ovenproof dish,spoon the meat into an overnproof
dish and top it with the potato and cheese mixture. Bake it in the oven for 30
minutes
until golden brown and we are done.
