Congratulations! You just completed the first step in the marriage license process. The application you filled
out is not an actual marriage license. As a couple, you must both appear in person at the Clerk’s Office to
complete the application process within 60 days of today’s date.

Requirements

Bring a valid driver's license, state identification card, passport or military identification and your
Social Security number (U.S. residents only) to any of our 6 locations:

Orange County Courthouse: 425 North Orange Ave., Room 350

Apopka branch: 1111 North Rock Springs Rd.
Ocoee branch: 475 Story Rd.
Winter Park branch: 450 Lakemont Ave.

Waiting period to be married: There is a 3-day waiting period to be married for couples who are
residents of Florida, but have not completed a premarital preparation course. The waiting period begins
when the couple comes to the Clerk’s Office to complete the marriage license process.

If you have completed a premarital course, bring your certificate of completion with you to waive the
3-day waiting period and reduce your fee from $86.00 to $61.00. The premarital course must be taken
within one year prior to applying for a marriage license.

If you have children together born in Florida, you must complete the Affirmation of Children Born in
Florida form.

Minors aged 16 or 17 must provide notarized consent from a parent or guardian.

Forms of Payment

Cash, money order, cashier's check (payable to the Orange County Clerk of Courts)
MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express (a $3.50 fee will apply)
