Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Health 9

I.LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to;
a. discuss the appropriate bandaging techniques for unintentional injuries;
b. demonstrate appropriate bandaging techniques for unintentional injuries and;
c. engage in differentiated learning to foster increased appreciation and
responsibility towards applying bandages on individual experiencing injuries.

1.Who can recall what we had discussed last meeting?
2.What is dressing and bandages? And what’s their relationship?
3.What are those main types of bandages? Differentiate the three.

B. Motivation
The teacher will play a video on how to apply dressing and bandages.
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
1.What have you observed on the video?
2.Based on the video, what is our topic for today?

C. Presentation of the lesson


The teacher will present the lesson.

D. Activity
The teacher will give an activity where the students will be divided into two groups.

DIRECTION: You will be reporting in front the techniques on how to apply appropriate
dressing and bandages. You can take ideas from google and YouTube. I will give you 15 mins to
search and prepare.

E. Analysis
The teacher will follow up and will correct the students activity by asking the following questions.
1.If there’s no available bandage at the moment of incident, can we use other material to
replace the bandage? In what way?
2.In what way does the open phase bandaging differs from cravat phase bandaging? Give me
specific uses of open phase bandaging and cravat phase bandaging.
3.How to make cravat bandaging?
4.Can we apply the same bandaging techniques in different wounds and injury? Why or why
not?
5.Since we must always end and secure the bandage using square knot, how to tie a square
knot?

F. Abstraction
The teacher will summarize the discussion by asking the following questions:
1.How is it important to apply appropriate bandaging technique for a specific injury or
wound?
2.Aside from wounds, in what other injuries can we use dressings and bandages? In
what way we can apply the dressing and bandages on these injuries?

G. Application
The teacher will divide the students into 4 groups.

DIRECTION: Demonstrate the techniques in applying appropriate bandaging through


Dancing, Roleplaying, Radio broadcasting, Or Television broadcasting.
