YSTRAINERS

YStrainers are cast filters designed in accordance with ASME 816.34.

They are usually installed in pipeline to mechanically remove

unwanted solid particles from fluids flowing through, to protect
equipments.

Filtering element consist of a cartridge, which usually is a perforated

steel plate of eJ 1.5 mm.

Upon request, we can supply Y strainers with wire mesh straining

element.

Y FORGED STRAINERS
Forged Y Strainers are designed according to manuracturer standards.

They are usually installed in pipeline to mechanically remove

unwanted solid particles from fluids flowing through. without reducing
their pressure of ilow.

The filtering element is a perforated micro-expanded steel

cartridge with a 0 0.8 mm filtration.

Upon request, we can supply the Y strainers with wire mesh straining
element.

TEE STRAINERS
Tee Strainer is a particular type of filter consisting of a tee (body},
a blind flange, a welding neck flange and of an internal filtering
element available in two different configurations: V-Type and
Double V- Type.

The configuration of the filtering element depends on the overall

area of filtration that is required. Usually the filtering area is
designed to be equal to twice the inlet section area.

The internal filtering basket consists of a perforated support plate

as well as a filtering wire mesh based on customer's requirement.

End connections can be supplied butt-weld or flanged. It is possible

to either clean the internal basket or to replace with a spare part
by dismounting the blind flange cover.

BASKET STRAINERS
Basket strainer is a pa rti cula r type of strainer in which the ca rtridge
is placed in a vertical position with respect to a horizontal flow.
Body I nozzle thickness is according to ASME 831.3 and testing is
according to API 598.

CONICAL STRAINERS
Conical strainer is a particular type of temporary filter used to clean
pipeline during the start-up operations.

It is composed of a ring, which is fixed between flanges, a perforated

plate used as support and of a wire mesh for the filtering.

After the start-up operation, it is recommended to remove the conical

strainer from the pipeline and replace it with a spacer ring, which has
the same thickness.

The filter is usually supplied in stainless steel. However, others grade

of material, as well as type of filtration can be offered based on customer
specific requirements.
