BEST MOMENT IN MY LIFE

Everyone must have their own best moment in their life. Actually, there are some best
moments in my life like the moment when I succeeded to get through to UGM and also IPDN.
But I believe there will be a lot of praja will tell their best moment about it. So, another best
moment that I will tell is when I did “praktik lapangan” in West Sumbawa last year. To be honest
our first expectation about West Sumbawa was so bad. Because we the news in google that in
West Sumbawa the weather was so hot and there were some stories that I heard that the people in
West Sumbawa seem stern. With that, I thought that it will be bored and not fun. But that all
changed when I arrived in West Sumbawa for the first time. We got a very friendly welcome
from the West Sumbawa’s people and they were so excited to see praja did “praktik lapangan” in
there. In that time, we have an opportunity to have a duty in Cooperative, Industry, and Trade
Office in West Sumbawa. The head of Cooperative, Industry, and Trade Office named Mr. Lalu
Azhar. My first impression about him was so amazing. He treated us very well and it made so
amaze with him. Moreover, he offered us accommodation and vehicle for free. At the first time,
he placed us on the boarding house which is located far from the office. But in the second day, he
placed us on his main house which is located close to the office and the facilities in his house is
so completed. Every day if we want to somewhere we were provided with a car and driver.
 Not also the head of Department, but also his family and the people who work in there
treated us very well. They also provide us with a special room for us with the amazing facilities
also like the air conditioner, free Wi-Fi, and free drink also. One thing that make me amaze was
they really support what we do. We were also invited for several times to visit some place to see
Small and Medium Enterprise (SME). But we just only visited the place for a few hours and the
rest of the time we spent by visiting around the beach and enjoying the regional specialties like
sate kuda, gulai sepat, bubur palopo, and many more. In the weekend, Mr. Lalu Azhar’s family
always ask us for doing holiday and visit some place in there. The other thing that makes me
amaze is when there is a plan for gathering, his family members can gather together completely
and look very compacted. They seem to want to provide the best service to the people who come
to their family. With the family we together visited some beautiful places like Maluk Beach,
Brang Rea, Bendungan Bintang Bano, Poto Batu Beach, and Poto Tano Beach.

Apart from the beauty of West Sumbawa and the friendliness of its people, the other
amazing moment that happened is I have the opportunity to play drumband at international event
which is MXGP Samota in Sumbawa. Actually, it was so tired but it was so fun cause we played
at international event in front of international people and also the Sumbawa’s people and it was
so crowded. We played very well and got a praise from the public and with that we asked to
perform the drumband again in front of the people of Sumbawa Barat as our last performance in
West Sumbawa. To be honest, it was the best moment in my life which is I never seen anyone so
enthusiastic about watching a performance and I was so glad about it.
 After two weeks had passed, we had to leave West Sumbawa with the amazing
experience and I think those two weeks didn’t feel like it for us because we really enjoyed it. One
think that make me amaze with West Sumbawa is how they treat and welcome the new people
who come to their place. It’s actually hard to leave West Sumbawa with all thee stories in it, but
life must go on and I still make promise to myself that one day I would return to West Sumbawa
with an even better person. Last think, West Sumbawa succeeded to create one of the best stories
in my life.
