SUBJECT TELEPHONE CALLS

Our telephone bills have arisen sharply during last year. Some of this increase is obviously
due to a higher telephone charge. It is evident that staff are more and more using the
telephone for persona calls – instead of making use of outlook express that is available for
internal communication and their mobile phones for personal calls.

When a member of staff uses an office telephone and this permissible only in an emergency
the call should be made through the switchboard and paid for immediately.

Enclosed is a copy of the staff rules from the handbook regarding the telephone calls.
