Abstract

In this section, you need to state a very brief summary of your activity highlighting the results.
If your journal were a movie, this section, the abstract, is the movie trailer.

Introduction
This is written in paragraph form. You are going to provide here the rationale for the activity, as
such, you can cite literatures in this section to provide conceptual framework for conduct of the activity.
Also in this section, you must explicitly write the objective/s of the activity

Materials
A listing of all the reagents, equipment, specimens and all other paraphernalia that were used in
the activity. This could be written in one or two columns.

Procedure
This is written in paragraph form. State in details how the activity was performed. No
explanations needed. For activities where there are multiple procedures, you can separate them by
subtitles under this section.
For procedures that require the use of tables of standard or other references (e.g. t-table), you
only need to cite the reference and the references must be attached in the appendices.

Results
Simply present the summary of results preferable in tables or in graphs. Tables should have table
number and title above the table; and, graphs should have figure number and title below the graphs. Both
tables and graphs must be presented with proper captions. Graphs and other figures must always have
labels.
For activities where there are multiple procedures, the presentation of results must correspond to
the subtitles in your procedure.

Discussion
Interpret the results presented. You may call it in any level of interpretation. What is important is
for you to be able to explain the tables or graphs presented in your results followed by a biological
interpretation. You may cite literatures in this section.

Generalization
Briefly answer your objectives presented in your introduction.

Acknowledgement
This section is optional. You may write here the names of the people who helped you in your
activity and state briefly their contributions.

References
Alphabetical listing of all the source materials that you have cited in your journal paper.

Appendices
Attachments. Documents attached must be titled Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, etc.
