Interpretation: Tesla has been increasing its debt load in recent years to fund its growth. This debt is reflected
in the total liabilities line on the balance sheet. Tesla has a number of minority-owned subsidiaries. The
minority interest line on the balance sheet represents the portion of the liabilities of these subsidiaries that is
not owned by Tesla.

Interpretation: The total equity gross minority interest of Tesla increased in 2022 for a few reasons. First, the

common stock, which also increased its minority interest.

Interpretation: Tesla has become more profitable in recent years, which has allowed the company to generate

order to raise cash and reduce debt. Tesla has improved its financial management practices in recent years,
which has helped to reduce its debt levels.
