Differences of Bias

and Prejudice
Bias
 based on judgment from a personal point
of view.
 is to have a preference or an inclination
for something that affects the ability to
see clearly or to make an impartial
judgment about it.
Prejudice
 means to prejudge something.
 If people are prejudiced against
something, it means that they have an
unreasonable dislike of it without
having found out about it or thought
about it properly.
BIAS vs PREJUDICE
An inclination for or against a person, Preconceived opinion that is not
idea or thing, especially in a way based on actual experience or
considered to be unfair reason.
Both negative and positive attitudes Usually negative attitudes
Results in unfairness Resuts in discrimination.
ex. Teacher X favors certain students ex. It is sometimes assumed that someone
over others in grading final who is physically disabled is also
performance. mentally disabled.
