correlates of yoga practises, including meditation the development of brain imagine technique
has thrown the ball in the western quote. Heart rate studies have indicated that heart rate
slows down during quiet meditation and quickens in the moment of ecstasy during
meditation. Blood pressure and hypertension is one of the easiest measurable physiological
variables. Cortical activity is another form of physiological process and alpha waves are slow
an high amplitude brain waves with frequency ranging from 8 to 13 cycles per second. Many
studies have shown that during meditation oxygen consumption is reduced, carbon dioxide
elimination is reduced.
