(b) A recipe for a rich Chocolate cake has the following main ingredients:
1 cup of flour
2 tablespoons of coco
100 ml of cooking oil
4 Eggs

Metric measures:

1 teaspoon = 5 ml
1 tablespoon = 25 ml

(a) You want a TV in your room, you found the following hire purchase information from adverts in the
newspaper:
 32 inch LED TV @ R3 800, 10% deposit, 2 years to pay @ 8,2 % p.a. interest
 36 inch LCD TV @ R4 200, 5% deposit, 3 years to pay @ 8% p.a. interest
(1) The price given for these TVs excludes 14% VAT, calculate the VAT for each of the
TVs. (3)
(2) Calculate the payment per month and the total amount spent on each of the TVs.
