TUTOR
The purpose of this contract is to set out the expectations and responsibilities for both the student tutor and the
tutee. It is expected that both students involved will treat each other with consideration when setting up and
participating in tutoring meetings.
Disclaimers:
The peer tutoring program is offered for students to have the opportunity to work with other students in support of
their learning. Both students agree to participate to the best of their abilities, but there is no guarantee a student’s
success will improve as a result of peer tutoring.
Peer tutoring sessions are UNSUPERVISED by teachers. While students can choose their own meeting places both at
and away from school, it is strongly suggested they use public spaces (e.g. the school library, community library).
Only tutoring meetings that take place outside of regular school hours and that are entered in the log form can be
considered for volunteer hours/CAS experience.
Specifically:
I am aware that peer tutoring sessions are not supervised by Bayview Staff, and should be arranged for public
spaces within the school or community.
