Topic- Women in the C-suite and the challenges they face

In recent times most of the organisations are realizing the significance of gender diversity in top
management roles as it leads to better decision making for the interest of the company and women’s
natural behavior is known to be more risk aversive so the active participation of women managers
could help out the company mitigate risks prevalent in the dynamic business environment , since the
scale of numbers is more inclined towards the male workforce a lot of companies are investing
towards different training and mentorship programmes whose main motive is to spread awareness
about the benefits of diversity in the workforce, one of the major challenge that most of the
women’s in c-suite roles face is about maintaining the work life balance, since the common beliefs of
our society is still inclined towards the old system where women are commonly seen to be
responsible for taking care of their daily household chores, another major challenge that women face
that is very much prevalent in corporate world is gender bias and stereotype that most often
questions the credibility of the decisions or leadership taken by the women managers which
subsequently leads to difficulty in navigating through the corporate ladder for the women leaders
since they are mostly believed to be incompetent for these positions .
