Caveat under Section 148-A of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908

1. I Ram Khan, R/o 29/2 Shanti Patta, Alipore, Kolkata 700027, do hereby file
this caveat under Section 148-A of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.
2. I have a strong reason to believe that a suit is likely to be filed against me in
the near future by Mr. Aman or his Group, hereinafter referred to as the
‘Respondent’.
3. The petitioner and the residents of Shanti Patta decided to destroy an water
extraction pump installed by Mr. Aman for groundwater extraction and it is
used by him to produce illegal country liquor due to which the residents
 were denied access to clean water and have to rely on water tankers due to
scarcity of water.
4. The nature of the anticipated suit is likely to be related to The Water Act
1974 and Environmental Protection act 1986. It is important to note that I
strongly deny any such allegations and intend to vigorously contest the same
if a suit is indeed filed.
5. The purpose of filing this caveat is to ensure that I am served with a notice
of the suit as soon as it is filed and have an opportunity to appear and defend
myself.

Prayer

Therefore, I humbly request this Hon’ble Court to kindly register this caveat
and direct that in the event a suit is filed against me by the aforementioned
Respondent, notice of the suit along with all processes be served upon me
at the address mentioned above.
