Aesthetics, protection and safety are critical to end
users and asset owners
The commercial infrastructure industry provides comfort,
safety and pleasure to people worldwide. It is utilized for
transportation, business meetings, entertainment and
relaxation.
These structures are exposed to corrosion in many ways.
For example, the exterior structural steel of convention
centers, amusement parks, roller coasters, commercial
buildings, and is constantly exposed to sulfur dioxide,
pollutants and UV rays. Airports lie underneath busy flight
paths are exposed to exhausts containing acids, nitric gas
and sulfur.
On the other hand, these facilities generate revenues for
their owners. Long-term protection, safety and aesthetics
are of value to asset owners and enable the buildings to
provide an enhanced image and improved environment to
the users.
It is our top priority to protect owners’ assets from
corrosion, preserve them with a superior, durable and
attractive surface, and make any future maintenance
much easier.

1. Ideal for interior surfaces. For exterior structures exposed to UV rays, PPG SIGMADUR 550 / PPG SIGMADUR 550H
topcoats can be added for UV protection.
2. The PPG SIGMADUR 520 finish coat is the semi-gloss version of the PPG SIGMADUR 550 topcoat. It can be replaced
with the PPG SIGMADUR 550 topcoat for high-gloss requirements.
3. PPG SIGMADUR 550 / SIGMADUR 550H topcoats can be added as optional coats depending on project-specific
requirements.
4. All systems listed in C5-I also meet the testing requirements of C5-M.

PPG high-performance zinc primers
PPG SIGMAZINC™ 68 SP
Two-component, high solids, polyamine adduct cured
zinc rich epoxy primer. Excellent anticorrosion protection.
Quick-drying and can be overcoated after a short interval.
Tested according to ISO 12944.
PPG SIGMAZINC 109HS
Two-component, high-solids, zinc-rich epoxy primer.
Excellent anticorrosion protection. Low VOC. Quick drying
and can be overcoated after a short interval. Tested
according to ISO 12944.
PPG SIGMAZINC 158
Two-component, moisture-curing, inorganic silicate
primer. Can withstand substrate temperatures from
–90ºC up to +400ºC, under normal atmospheric exposure
conditions. Long term protection with good impact and
abrasion resistance. Good low-temperature curing. Tested
according to ISO 12944.
PPG SIGMAZINC 105
Ultra fast drying zinc epoxy primer with very good anti-
corrosive properties and is easy to apply. Overcoating
in 25 minutes. Touch-dry in 10 minutes. Good low
temperature curing. Tested according to ISO 12944.
PPG high-performance epoxy primers
PPG SIGMFAST™ 278
High-solids (80%), fast-drying epoxy primer with excellent
corrosion resistance in atmospheric exposure. It helps
improve productivity and reduce application times through
its speed of cure, which makes it ideal for commercial
infrastructure applications faced with tight construction
deadlines. Tintable epoxy makes it ideal for interior
surfaces without direct expose to sunlight.
PPG SIGMACOVER™ 280
Universal epoxy primer for atmospheric or immersion
applications. Excellent adhesion to non-ferrous substrates
and galvanized steel. Compatible with well-designed
cathodic protection systems. Suitable on wet blast
substrate.
PPG SIGMACOVER 620
Two-component universal epoxy primer with excellent
corrosion resistance in both atmospheric and immersion
applications. Good adhesion to non-ferrous substrates
and galvanized steel. Long recoating intervals. Suitable on
wet blast substrates.
PPG SIGMACOVER 246
General-purpose, high-build primer for the protection of
steel structures subject to atmospheric exposure. Good

PPG heavy-duty epoxy solution
PPG SIGMACOVER 456
An epoxy buildcoat/finish with excellent, durable
performance. Recoatable after extended time periods.
Good adhesion on aged alkyd, chlorinated rubber and
epoxy coatings.
PPG SIGMACOVER 435
Micaceous iron oxide pigmented recoatable epoxy
coating with excellent durability and long term flexibility.
Cold cure characteristic with unlimited recoatability. Good
adhesion to aged alkyds, chlorinated rubber and epoxy
coatings.
PPG SIGMACOVER 1500
Two-component, surface-tolerant, solvent-free
polyamine-cured epoxy. General-purpose primer for
long-term protection against corrosion. Compatible with
various aged coatings.
PPG SIGMASHIELD™ 880
Abrasion resistant, surface tolerant, multipurpose epoxy.
High-film thickness in one coat. Good splash and spill
resistance to chemicals. Suitable for damp or wet-blast
clean substrates. Excellent chemical splash and spill
resistance. Shorter time for seawater exposure and
immersion. Continues to cure upon immersion.
PPG SIGMASHIELD 460
High solids glass flake reinforced polyamine adduct
epoxy coating. Excellent abrasion and impact resistance.
Excellent resistance to corrosion. Long-term protection at
areas subject to heavy wear and tear. Resistant to splash
and spillage of a wide range of chemicals. Very low water
permeability due to glass flake barrier.
PPG durable finishes solution
PPG PSX® 700
High-gloss, high-solids (90%), low-VOC and isocyanate-
free patented engineered epoxy polysiloxane with a
20-year proven track record. Provides corrosion- and
abrasion resistance as good as an epoxy, with exceptional
color and gloss retention that outperforms the best
polyurethane in the market. Meets and exceeds ISO 12944
C5-I with a two-coat system.
PPG AMERSHIELD®
High-solids (73%), high build finish coat with excellent
resistance to atmospheric exposure conditions. High
gloss, non-chalking or yellowing. Unlimited recoatability.
Meets the requirements of international standard ISO
12944.
PPG SIGMADUR™ 550/550H
Polyurethane finish with high gloss that offers durable
protection. No chalking and non-yellowing. Excellent
application properties. Unlimited recoatability. Meets the
requirement of ISO 12944.
PPG SIGMADUR 520
Semi-gloss, aliphatic acrylic polyurethane finish coat with
good durability, color and gloss retention for atmospheric
application. Meets the requirement of ISO 12944.
PPG SIGMADUR 1800
Two-component, high solids, polymeric urethane.
Excellent resistance to atmospheric exposure conditions.
Outstanding color and gloss retention. Tough and
abrasion resistant.
PPG cellulosic fire protection solution
PPG STEELGUARD™ Series
