Trip to the beach

Hi Kim,
I’m so excited to go to the beach with you and your family this Sunday! It sounds like a lot of
fun!
I’m sorry, but I can’t come to your house before 9 a.m because I have to help my dad with some
chores. However, I'll make sure to meet you directly at the beach.
As for the food, both meat and fish sound great for the barbecue. I can bring some chicken and
sausages.
When it comes to activities at the beach, we could go for a swim, play beach volleyball, build
sandcastles, or even take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. Let's make the most of our time
there and have a blast!
See you soon

Learning English

Hi Teri,
I'm happy to hear that you are starting your English class next month. English is a fun and useful
language to learn.
I'm sorry, but I can't meet you next Friday afternoon. I have a dentist appointment. How about
Saturday morning instead?
I think a dictionary is a good idea, but you should also use other resources to learn new
vocabulary. For example, you can watch English movies or TV shows with subtitles, read
English books or magazines, or listen to English songs or podcasts.
Of course, I will help you with your English homework whenever you need. You can call me or
text me anytime. I'm sure you will do well in your class.

My birthday
Hi Andy,
I’m very happy for you and I would love to come to your birthday party on 12th September.
Thank you for inviting me!
You are my best friend too and I don’t want to miss your special day. I’m sure we’ll have great
fun together.
I will bring my sister with me. She is looking forward to meeting you and your family.
What time should we arrive at your home? I want to make sure we're punctual and don't miss out
on any of the fun. And do you need me to bring anything?
Please let me know.
See you soon!
End-of-term party

Dear Mr Smith,
It is so nice to organize an end-of-term party! It's like a gift to celebrate our hard-working
English term, to celebrate the achievements that we made last semester.
I prefer to go to the park to go to the classroom because the park is spacious, large, and
comfortable. Moreover, we can join more funny outdoor activities. I'm sure that
everyone will respond very enthusiastically!
Practicing English during the party will be closer and more realistic. We can sing, chat or quiz
each other some questions. Telling funny stories to people is also a great way to practice English.
Also, I can bring some candies and some yummy cupcakes that I made.
Thank you for being a great teacher!
FILM NIGHT

Hi Lisa,
I hope you're doing well too! My studies are going great, thank you or asking. It sounds like a
wonderful idea to have a film night with friends this Saturday
As for the movie chace, I'm open to any film that everyone would enjoy. I trust your judgment,
so feel free to pick one that your think no'll all like, I appreciate your offer to provide snacks for
the evening. I can bring some homemade cookies and a selection of tresh fruit to add to the party
atmosphere.
Starting at 6.00 works perfectly for me. It gives us enough time to settle in and enjoy the movie
without feeling rushed
See you soon'
THE RESTAURANT

I’m so happy to hear from you and to know that you’ve finished your exams. Congratulations!
You deserve a break.
The restaurant I went to last year was called La Luna. It was a very nice place, with a cozy and
elegant atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the seafood paella and the chocolate
cake. They also had a good wine selection.
The restaurant was family-friendly, and they had a special menu for children. The portions were
generous, but not too big. My nephew and niece enjoyed their chicken nuggets and fries, and
they also got a free ice cream for dessert.
The night I went was indeed very busy, and I was lucky to get a table without a reservation. But I
would recommend that you book in advance, just to be safe. You can call them or use their
website.

STUDYING TOGETHER
Hi Kelly,
I'm really excited about studying together next week! It's a fantastic idea.
In terms of food, I think it would be great if you could cook something. I've heard you're an
amazing cook, so I'd love to taste your culinary skills. It'll be a nice way to start our study
session.
As for the laptop, I'll bring mine along. Thank you for offering yours, but I prefer using my own
device for studying.
Regarding the timing, I suggest we plan for Wednesday afternoon. That’s the best day for me
because I have the afternoon free, and it will give us plenty of time to study and catch up.
See you soon.

THINGS TO DO AT THE WEEKEND

Hi Karen,
You're very welcome to stay at my apartment this weekend! I'm sorry I won't be there, but I'm
glad you'll have a chance to explore the area.
For Saturday afternoon, I suggest checking out the local market. It's a vibrant place with various
stalls offering fresh produce, local crafts, and delicious food. You can immerse yourself in the
local culture and maybe even find some unique souvenirs.
It’s true that Sundays can be quite calm around here, but you’ll still find some cozy cafes and
bookshops open if you’d like to explore. One of my favorite things to do is grab a coffee and lose
myself in a good book at the corner cafe.
Thank you so much for taking care of my apartment! I really appreciate it. Enjoy your weekend!
Best wishes,

Where shall we meet?

Hi Marcela!
It's great to hear from you! I'm really excited about our upcoming meeting next week too!
Regarding the meeting place, I suggest we meet at the cozy café near the park. It has a lovely
atmosphere and serves delicious pastries. What do you think?
As for your dad, there's a theater nearby that he might enjoy. They have a captivating play
showing in the evening. Alternatively, there's a bookstore with a wide selection of books he
could browse through.
And yes, please bring your photos of our holiday together! I'd love to reminisce and share those
precious memories.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

The summer!
Hey Mike,
I'm thrilled to hear that schools are closing for the summer holidays! It sounds like a fantastic
idea to go camping with your family. Count me in!
As for the timing, how about the second week of July? It should give us enough time to prepare
and ensure the weather is favorable for swimming and campfires.
I'm not the greatest cook, but I can definitely help out in the kitchen. It's awesome that your dad
is a skilled cook! I'll make sure to bring some snacks and drinks to contribute.
If I have any questions or need further details, I'll reach out to you. Thanks for the invitation, and
I can't wait for this fun-filled camping adventure!
Eating habits

Hi Mark,
We're all OK thanks. My family send you their love.
We have our meals at similar times to you although the evening meal is a bit later. I have
breakfast before I go to work at 8.00 and I eat lunch at about 12.00 or 12.30. Our main meal is
usually around 7.00 and we always sit at the table together to eat.
Yes, Chinese and Indian food are very popular in my country. We have a takeaway once a week
and it's usually one of these.
I don't know if I'm a good cook but I enjoy making a curry and my family seem to like it!
See you soon!
PART 2:

FREE TIME ACTIVITIES

One of the most popular free-time activities in Vietnam is playing badminton. It can be played
by two or four players, either indoors or outdoors.
Many people in Vietnam play badminton in public parks, schoolyards, or sports centers. Some
people even set up their own nets on the streets or in their backyards. Badminton is a fun and
affordable way to exercise and socialize with friends and family.
People enjoy badminton because it is easy to learn, but challenging to master. It improves
physical fitness, coordination, and reflexes. It also fosters teamwork, friendship, and
sportsmanship. Badminton is a great activity for people of all ages and backgrounds in Vietnam.
I think it is a sport that brings people together and makes them happy.
HEALTHY LIFE

Exercise is an important part of having a healthy life. I do exercise at least three times a week to
keep fit and strong. I usually go jogging in the park, play soccer with my friends, or do yoga at
home.
Besides exercise, I also do other activities to have a healthy life. For example, I eat a balanced
diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water, and avoid junk food and soda. I also
get enough sleep every night, avoid stress, and meditate regularly.
I think everyone should try to do them too, because they can improve your physical and mental
well-being. A healthy life is a happy life!

SHOPPING
Shopping is one of my favorite activities. I go shopping at least once a week, usually on
weekends.
I often shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, and books. I enjoy finding new styles and trends that
suit my personality and taste.
I do buy some things online, but not very often. I prefer to see and touch the products before I
buy them. I also like the experience of going to a physical store. Online shopping can be
convenient and cheap, but it can also be risky and impersonal.
Shopping is a fun and relaxing way to spend my time and money. I think it is a great hobby for
anyone who loves fashion, culture, and learning.
SPORT AND EXERCISE

Ho Chi Minh City is a bustling metropolis with many opportunities for young people to do
exercise and play sports. Some of the popular places where young people do exercise are public
parks, gyms, swimming pools, and sports clubs.
Some of the sports that young people often do in Ho Chi Minh City are football, badminton,
volleyball, basketball, and martial arts. These sports are fun, competitive, and social.
Young people should do sport and exercise because it has many benefits for their physical and
mental health. Sport and exercise can help young people stay fit, prevent diseases, reduce stress,
improve mood, and boost self-confidence.
I think it is crucial for young individuals to recognize the immense benefits of an active lifestyle
and make it an integral part of their lives for a brighter, healthier future.
FAVORITE PLACE

My favorite place in Ho Chi Minh City is the War Remnants Museum. It is a museum that
displays the history and effects of the Vietnam War. It is located in District 3, near the
Reunification Palace.
I often visit this place to learn more about the past and present of my country. The museum has
many exhibits that show the weapons, vehicles, photographs, and documents of the war.
This place is popular with other people too, especially tourists and students. It attracts millions of
visitors every year.It is also a place of education and reflection for the younger generation.
The War Remnants Museum is my favorite place in Ho Chi Minh City because it helps me
understand the history and culture of my nation. It also reminds me of the importance of peace
and human rights.
LEISURE TIME

In my free time, I like to explore the vibrant culture and cuisine of Ho Chi Minh City. There are
so many things to see and do in this city, such as visiting historical landmarks, shopping at local
markets, and enjoying street food.
I often do this activity with my friends or family. We like to discover new places and try new
dishes together. We also like to share our experiences and opinions with each other.
One leisure activity that I would like to try is kayaking on the Saigon River. I think it would be a
fun and relaxing way to enjoy the scenery and nature.
I believe that leisure time is important for everyone. It helps us to relax, recharge, and learn new
things.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR WEEKEND

Weekends are precious to me, as they are the only time I can escape from the busy and stressful
life of a student. I like to spend my weekends in different ways, depending on my mood and
energy level.
Sometimes, I like to do something fun and exciting with my friends. We might go to the cinema,
the mall, or the park. We enjoy chatting, laughing, and sharing our stories. We also like to try
new things, such as a new restaurant, a new game, or a new hobby.
Other times, I like to relax and do nothing. I might stay at home and watch Netflix, read a book,
or listen to music. I also like to sleep in and take naps. I find this very soothing and refreshing.
No matter what I do, I always make sure to enjoy my weekends and make the most of them.
They are my reward for working hard during the week.
