List of Recommendations to scientific community: 06

• Year 2009:Crude extract of Clerodendron phlomidis (Arani) leaves has better antimicrobial activity in vitro as compared to Gentamycin,
Framycetin, Streptomycin, Penicillin-G, Oxytetracycline and Amoxicillin.
• Year 2010: The unilateral diaphragmatic herniorrhaphy in buffaloes can be successfully carried out without intermittent positive pressure
ventilation.”
• Year 2011: Manganese chloride @ 5 mg/ kg body weight as compared to low dose @ 1 mg/ kg body weight intravenously prior to rumenotomy
proves better to control the oxidative stress during diaphragmatic hernia repair in buffaloes.
• Year 2014: Use of ultrasonography using 3.5-5 MHz transducer at 4th or 5th intercostal space is recommended for the diagnosis of Diphragmatic
hernia with more than 90 percent of diagnostic accuracy in Mehsana buffaloes
• Year 2016: Surgico-therapeutic management of urolithiasis in Kankrej male calves with tube cystotomy followed by ammonium chloride
feeding @ 5 gm total dose for 10 days is effective.
• Year 2018: In Mehsani buffaloes, during horn amputation by flap method, surgical incision 1 cm above frontal crest is suggested to reduce
operation time and blood loss.

Recommendations to Farmers community: 01

• Year 2009:Topical use of crude extract of leaves of Clerodendron phlomidis (Arani) is effective in treatment of infected wounds in animal.
