MR SPECTROSCOPY (SINGLE & MULTIVOXEL)

H/O

SPECTROSCOPIC FINDINGS :

1HMR spectroscopy has been done from left parietal lobe peripheral enhancing lesion with single &

multi-voxel technique with short TE (35ms), intermediate TE (144ms) & long TE (288ms) techniques.

There is adequate suppression of water & good spectral quality. There is mild increase in choline; mild

decrease in creatine in Cr & NAA peaks. Cho : Cr = 1.4; Cho : NAA = 1.0. No demonstrable lactate peak

is seen. However significant lipid peak is noted which does not show reversal on 144ms TE

spectroscopy. Considering the MRI & MR spectroscopy the lesion is in favor of non-neoplastic

inflammatory lesion? Tuberculoma.

Suggested clinical correlation , further evaluation & follow up .
