MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State Alumni Association has announced plans to host a Fun Fest
event on Sept. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the K-State Alumni Center, 1720 Anderson Ave. The event will
celebrate the association’s 150 years of service. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect
and socialize with fellow K-State and Manhattan supporters.
K-State Alumni Association President and CEO, Adam Walker, emphasized their main goal of
connecting K-State alumni and the community to advance Kansas State University. “We play a
big part in supporting K-State,” Walker said.
Fun Fest will provide activities for individuals of all ages to interact and connect through
carnival games, social hour, and more. This event will also encourage current and prospective
students to connect with alumni through networking sessions that will be held throughout the
event. Local community members and families are encouraged to attend and join in fellowship.
“We need to increase that customer base not only from an engagement perspective, but it brings
in revenue,” Terin Walters, the assistant vice president of development and communications for
K-State Alumni Association, said. “So, we want them to join the association so that we can keep
them connected to K-State and be able to put on events for them.”
During Fun Fest, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about K-State Alumni
Association and their initiatives. There will also be a chance to sign up for membership, make
donations, and buy a K-State license plate to assist students in their academic endeavors.
