Subject: For B. Goff: Exclusive on K-State Alumni Association celebration

Ms. Goff:

Imagine being a determined and ambitious college student with a promising future ahead, but
facing financial challenges that make you question your ability to achieve your aspirations. What
if I told you that there is a way to break down these barriers and make anything possible? By
cultivating strong bonds between universities and their accomplished alumni, countless
opportunities can be generated to empower more students to pursue their dreams. The
collaboration between alumni and universities beyond graduation can have a profound impact on
the future success of both students and institutions.

I wanted to suggest a story idea for WBIW-TV. The K-State Alumni Association is a non-profit
organization that supports students of Kansas State University. They offer assistance throughout
their academic journey and continue to connect with them even after they graduate. I was
impressed with your story on the Flint Hills Discovery Center's 10-year anniversary celebration.
It emphasized the significant impact that the center has on the Manhattan community. Similarly,
the K-State Alumni Association has an interesting story to share. They have been assisting
students, alumni, and community members of Manhattan for 150 years. To celebrate 150 years of
Wildcat pride, K-State Alumni Association will host a Fun Fest. I would like to invite you to
come and learn more about the K-State Alumni Association and their efforts to provide an
abundance of scholarship opportunities for students.

We would like to offer you an exclusive story about the K-State Alumni Association. If you're
interested, please let us know by Sept. 20, and we will provide you with more details about the
event. We welcome writers, reporters, or photographers that you assign to also participate in this
event. We can arrange interviews with a variety of people who can share their personal K-State
experiences and perspectives during the celebration. These individuals include Adam Walker,
president and chief executive officer of the K-State Alumni Association, K-State alumni, recent
scholarship recipients, and donors of the Legacy Scholarship Fund. I would be excited to meet
you and share more about our impact on future K-State students and the university.

Please let me know if I could further assist you. My phone number is (785) 532-6260.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
