ISR AEL & JORDAN

Walk the same streets that saw the rise of 3 major religions
as well as immeasurable cultural and historical contributions.
Indulge in modern seaside cityscapes, a world-class culinary
scene and famous halva ice cream. If zipping through the cliff-
scattered Wadi Rum desert on a 4×4 sounds like hard work,
relaxing with an afternoon floating nap on the Dead Sea
may be more your speed. Whether it is visiting the stunning
desert fortress of Masada, travelling back in time through
the winding streets of Jerusalem, or waking up to catch the
sun-drenched facade of the rock-carved temple of Petra, your
2 trip through the Holy Land will leave you filled with wonder. 3

NO YES – as well as to be sure you don’t get stopped
at the door – follow these easy wardrobe tips:

1 Men, cover your heads – and not with a baseball cap.

A kippah, headscarf or skull cap is best. If you forget, many
sites offer paper skull caps that you can get at the door.

2 No shorts, short dresses, or short skirts. Wear long

pants on the days that you’re planning to visit religious
sites, or bring a quick change of clothes. As it gets very
hot in Israel, we recommend something light like linen.
If you’re wearing a dress or skirt, make sure it goes past
the knee.

3 Wear long sleeves, and make sure your chest is

sleeveless, an easy solution is to bring along a lightweight
shawl, scarf, or cardigan that you can easily roll up in
your bag and put on while you’re waiting to enter.

travellers on the Discovering Israel & Jordan this fall. The more days that you

shared, the more chances your team has to collect likes and thumbs up from
your friends, family and other travellers.

To the victors go the spoils

Travellers in the team with the most likes online on December 31, 2022 will
each win a $100 credit towards their next adventure with Approach Tours!
