Intended Use
It is used to lyse (break down) red blood cells for haemoglobin determinations and aid in the
counting of white blood cells.

Principle
The reagent is added to lyse the red blood cells (RBC) and react with the released
haemoglobin (Hgb) for the measurement of Hgb, white blood cell count (WBC) and
Basophils (BAS).

Ingredients
Chloride, sulphate, preservative solution, anticoagulant, buffer solution and the quaternium.

Storage and Shelf Life

This product will be stable for 24 months when stored unopened at 2°C to 40°C (35°F to
104°F) and away from sunlight. Once opened, the reagent should be used within 90 days
and stored at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Dispose of waste product in accordance with
governmental requirements.

Applicable to the InSight V3 Plus Haematology Analyser manufactured by Woodley
Equipment Company Ltd.

How To Use
1. Connect the lysing reagent to the tubing in the left side door of the analyser.
2. The analyser adds diluent and lysing reagent automatically when testing.
3. Measurement results can be printed by an external printer or built-in thermal
printer. Please read the analyser operator manual carefully and follow the
instructions when using the analyser.

Restrictions, Precautions and Notices

1. Use the reagent under professional guidance.
2. Only use this reagent with the InSight V3 Plus Haematology Analyser.
3. Avoid skin or eye contact. In case of skin or eye contact, flush the affected area with
water immediately and consult a doctor. In case of inhaling, immediately consult a
doctor.

 4. Tighten the container’s cap to prevent evaporation and contamination. Use product
before the expiration date. Open expiry is 90 days.
5. If product is frozen (either partially or completely), thaw completely, warm to room
temperature and mix thoroughly by gentle inversion. Verify background results
before analysing patient samples.
6. Please note that the reagent should only be used with the InSight V3 Plus
Haematology Analyser. Please do not use reagents which are unauthorised by
Woodley Equipment Company as this may cause measurement errors.
