1. A political system is optimal not because it produces the policies that you prefer. It

produces the policies that much smarter people prefer.

I totally disagree with this statement just because I believe a political system should work

for the wellness of all people, to protect their rights and to brush up on a better society for

all.

2. The ideal system depends on the cultural attributes of the population.

I agree with this statement because from my prospective all cultural behavior of the

population matters when you are talking about an ideal system, in which everyone matters,

no matters their sex, background, skin, religion, etc.

3. Individuals should be admitted to schools and hired for jobs based on their ability.

I believe everyone have right to education and dignity job. For instance, many people are

deaf, and if you think they don’t have right to education nor job, just because their

condition, you’re wrong. I believe in a society in which everyone have a role, I dream with

equality.

4. Unlike the private sector, the government is motivated by public interest.

I have no idea about private or public sector, I just want to say that every sector have to

work for people, but in this society money is the most important value, so we have many

troubles with this perception, like: corruption.

5. Taxes allow the government to create jobs and provide welfare programs for people in

need.

In a utopic society it would be true, but in Colombia, there are a lot of corruption, so I don’t

think so. I believe other institutions, like Non-Governmental Institutions, NGI, work with

for achieving that goal, better than the government.

6. Governmental programs encourage people to become dependent and lazy instead of

inspiring them to become hard-working and independent.

To be honest, I haven’t heard about any real program that help people, you have to fight

with your conditions and go ahead with your life. For instance, in La Guajira, many people

don’t have tap water, and many children died because of that.
