are not acceptable.
For pipes of 2” and larger only single random lengths shall be accepted to complete quantities.
When NACE is specified in scope description, pipes shall be in accordance with NACE MR 0103
requirements.
When pipes are ordered beveled ends, bevel shall conform ASME B16.25.
When specified, threaded ends shall be as per NPT to ASME B1.20.1.
Galvanized pipes shall be according to ASTM A153, and shall be supplied with threads free of
galvanized. Each pipe shall be in one end galvanized steel coupling in material ASTM A105
galvanized 3000# NTP.
When Polyethylene Coated is required, coating shall be according to specification 80080-TCH-
0000-SP-003 “COATING AND WRAPPING FOR U/G PROTECTION OF STEEL PIPE”
Mill Tolerance for thickness calculations has been considered as follows:
 CS: 12.5% up to 24” NPS
 AS: 12.5% up to 24” NPS
All Material Test Certification shall be type 3.1
PMI shall be according to document 80080-TCH-0000-SP-005 “POSITIVE MATERIAL
IDENTIFICATION SPECIFICATION”
NDE shall be as per ASME B 31.3 (31.1 if applicable) and as per the requirements indicated
below.
When additional requirement 1 Carbon Steel material shall be in accordance with the following
requirements and clause 6.1.1.1, of document 80080-TCH-0000-SP-006:
 When NACE is specified in specific conditions of supply, NACE MR 0103 shall be applied
to materials, fabrication and testing.
 All materials shall be fully killed.
 Materials shall be normalized as minimum.
 Carbon content shall be limited to 0.20 wt%.
 Maximum allowable phosphorus content 0.030 wt%.
 Maximum allowable sulfur content 0.010 wt%.
When additional requirement 2 is specified, Carbon material shall be in accordance with Exhibit
A of document 80080-TCH-0000-SP-006 and with the following requirements:
 All materials shall have a specified minimum tensile strength less than 500 N/mm2
 All materials shall be designed and manufactured to resist the potential cracking
mechanisms caused by the generation of free hydrogen in an aqueous corrosion
reaction.
 All materials shall be in accordance with NACE MR0103 requirements.
 All materials shall be fully killed.
 All materials shall be supplied in normalized condition.
 Maximum allowable carbon content shall be 0.23% wt%.
 Maximum Carbon Equivalent shall be 0.43

Impact test is required for all carbon steel, at temperature of -5ºC. Acceptance criteria shall be
the greater of 27 J (20 ft-lb) average, 20 J (15 ft-lb) minimum or as required by the
design code or material specification, whichever is most restrictive.
100% MT shall be done for all machined butt welding ends.
Hydrostatic testing of 100% of finished pipes is required, with a test pressure according to
material standard.
All pipes shall be supplied with a plastic or metal cover at the ends for protection.
The supplier shall consider a protective coating of pipes, for rust prevention during
transportation.
Colour coding shall be in accordance with document 80080-MTO-0000-SP-004.
For all pipes, the supplier shall consider that all material shall comply with the requirement for
packaging, marking and shipping indicated in document 80080-GT-017-E.
Supplier shall consider that the delivery of the scope of supply could be separated in different
destination of different prefabrication shops, which may be located in other different countries of
Algeria.

4. ORDER OF PRECEDENCE

If any inconsistency or conflict exists between or within the attached and listed documents in
this material requisition, FEED documents, PROJECT documents, Industry Standards, Laws,
Codes, Drawings… it shall be the responsibility of the VENDOR to bring it to the attention of the
CONTRACTOR in writing as soon as it is detected. Until the resolution is officially made by
CONTRACTOR, the most stringent shall govern unless the CONTRACTOR pre-agreed written
waiver is provided.
6. INSPECTION AND MATERIAL CERTIFICATION
VENDOR shall conduct all necessary tests and/or inspections in accordance with the minimum
requirements established in the CONTRACT documents and PROJECT Specifications. Test
and Inspections to be carried out during the course of manufacturing shall be included in the
Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) that should be submitted for PURCHASER approval according
to the Vendor Drawing and Data Requirements (VDDR).
The proposed Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) shall be based on applicable data sheets,
specifications and standards.
VENDOR shall consider the following inspection requirements:
