Fee refund rule for PG Admissions


(applicable with effect from academic year 2023-24 onwards)

M. Tech./ M. Plan. / M. Sc. Programmes (CCMT/CCMN)

1. Candidates Not Reporting to NIT Calicut after seat allotment by CCMT/CCMN: Rs


5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) will be deducted from the fee paid to CCMT/CCMN
(assuming that the amount paid by the candidate to CCMT/CCMN during the counseling
process is transferred to NIT Calicut)
2. Candidate withdraws within 30 days after taking admissions at NIT Calicut: 50%
of the Tution fee + Admission Fee + Registration Fee will be deducted from the total
amount paid at NIT Calicut during admissions and the remaining money will be
refunded.
3. Candidate withdraws after 30 days of taking admission at NIT Calicut: Only Caution
and Library deposits will be refunded to the candidate
4. Refund of fee in case of candidates who couldn’t clear their qualifying examination
within the stipulated period given by the counselling authority or NIT Calicut: The
admission of the candidate will be treated as cancelled and the caution and Library
deposits only will be refunded.
M. Tech./ M. Plan. / MBA/M. Sc. Programmes (Self-sponsored/ Self-financing/Industry
Sponsored)
1. Candidate withdraws 7 days before the commencement of classes for the first
semester: Rs 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) + Admission Fee will be deducted.
2. Candidate withdraws during the period between 6 days before the
commencement of classes and within 30 days after the commencement of classes
for the first semester at NIT Calicut: 50% of the Tution fee + Admission Fee +
Registration Fee will be deducted from the total amount paid at NIT Calicut during
admissions and the remaining money will be refunded.
3. Candidate withdraws after 30 days of commencement of classes for the first
semester at NIT Calicut: Only Caution and Library deposits will be refunded to the
candidate
4. Refund of fee in case of candidates who couldn’t clear their qualifying examination
within the stipulated period given by NIT Calicut: The admission of the candidate
will be treated as cancelled and the caution and Library deposits only will be refunded.
MBA (Regular)
1. Candidate withdraws before the commencement of classes for the first semester:
Rs 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) + Admission Fee will be deducted1.
2. Candidate withdraws within 30 days after the commencement of classes for the
first semester at NIT Calicut: 50% of the Tution fee + Admission Fee + Registration Fee
will be deducted from the total amount paid at NIT Calicut during admissions and the
remaining money will be refunded.
3. Candidate withdraws after 30 days of the commencement of classes for the first
semester at NIT Calicut: Only Caution and Library deposits will be refunded to the
candidate

Ph.D. (All schemes)
1. Candidate withdraws before the commencement of academic session
(Monsoon/Winter) in their 1st semester: Rs 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) +
Admission Fee will be deducted.
2. Candidate withdraws after commencement of acadameic session in their 1st
semester at NIT Calicut: Only Caution and Library deposits will be refunded.
3. Refund of fee in case of candidates who couldn’t clear their qualifying examination
within the stipulated period given by NIT Calicut: The admissions will be treated as
cancelled and the caution and Library deposits only will be refunded.
