Sentence manipulation.

Passive:

Correct the mistakes (only the section that is wrong as in the example) or write
'Correct' if there is no problem.

‘Get’ Passive
Five of the passive verbs in sentences 1 -8 would also be natural with 'GET'.
Change them (type the whole sentence). For those that cannot be changed type
'none'.
i.e. - Maggie was hit by a car this morning. = Mary got hit
- Mount Everest was first climbed in 1953. = none

Complex passive structures

Make the sentences passive. Use the element in brackets as the subject of your
sentence. Mind capital letters at the beginning of the sentence.
1- They believed that fresh air was bad for sick people. (It)

2- Some people claim that there are wolves in the mountains. (There)
There are claimed to be w olves in the mountains

3- They think that the man holding the hostages is heavily armed. (The man)

Make passive versions of the sentences, keeping in the same tense and omitting the
agent (in brackets)
