2. List 3 main areas of need according to your analysis of the writing sample and a corresponding Instructional strategy for support/remediation.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Think in terms of the specific, direct instruction you would implement in your classroom.
Instructional Strategies should be detailed, specific and correlate directly to the area of need. For example, “Provide modeling or demonstration or
more review” (Vaughn, S & Boss, C, 2015) is too general.
This section is NOT for Accommodations or Modifications.
Review the rubric for additional grading information.
3. Choose a variety of 4 accommodations and modifications directly related to the areas of need to support writing efforts in their classroom. Do NOT list
Instruction Activities or anything already mentioned in question #2.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Accommodations and modifications should match the area of need. For example, the following accommodation “Use of visual clues for correct
letter formation” is well correlated to Handwriting needs but not Spelling.
Providing clarifying information for how the accommodation/modification will be used or why it is needed is highly encouraged.
Review the rubric for additional grading information.
