Hushh for BITS

‘Hushh for BITS’ is a mobile application designed specifically for students of Birla Institute of
Technology and Science (BITS). With its innovative features and user-centric design, Hushh
aims to provide a secure and engaging platform for students to discuss various topics while
ensuring privacy and anonymity.

Key Features:

a. Thread Creation with Hushh and HushhEnhanced Modes:

Users can create discussion threads on diverse topics using either the Hushh mode, where they
interact publicly with their name and username, or the HushhEnhanced mode, offering complete
anonymity with a user-defined anonymous name(to be updated during registration).

b. Multimedia Content Sharing:

Users can post text, images, videos, emojis, GIFs, stickers, and more within threads, allowing
for rich and dynamic discussions.

c. One-on-One Chats:

Initiate private conversations with other users through one-on-one chat functionality, pending
acceptance of chat invitations, creating deeper connections and interactions.

d. Lite lo! Feature:

Engage in daily discussions on trending topics through the Lite lo! feature.
Users can earn rewards in terms of HushhRupay by actively participating in the Lite lo! feature,
with rewards increasing based on their engagement streak (1 day = (+1) in daily streak).
The topic of the daily Lite lo! thread will be based on recent happenings in BITS or indian
education system or any other hot topic curated through Moderators and AI model of the app.
Moderators will be those users who would like to earn extra HushhRupay by participating in the
beta program of moderating the content on threads by enrolling in the HushhMods program. In
HushhMods, AI will daily present select options for Lite lo! from which Moderators will pick few
topics. The model will then select the top 3-4 topics that will be used for next day on Lite lo!
User activity will be analysed and the daily push notification for Lite lo! will be pushed out to the
public during peak user activity hours.

e. Data Privacy and Security:

All user data is stored on individual local cloud storage on users' devices, guaranteeing privacy
and security.

f. HushhRupay Rewards:

HushhRupay, earned through active participation and engagement, can be used for in-app
purchases, such as unlocking premium features or making purchases in BITS outlets and BITS
merchandise.

User Action: A student downloads the app from the app store and proceeds to register.

complete two-factor authentication for verification.

anonymous name for HushhEnhanced mode.

mode and others in HushhEnhanced mode.
