jennifermeyer1 July 6, 2013 at 12:42 PM I love the idea of a homework club. If it doesn't come back
the next day, the student must take an extra from my extra box to do during recess or at home
depending on the assignment. Classes worked with their buddies on a variety of activities which
included making thank you cards, designing their own emergency services vehicles and playing team
building games. Year 6 have been divided into teams to assist with the aquaponics maintenance on
Tuesdays and feeding on other days. I really don't make a big deal if it is an occasional slip. The
homework club sounds like a great way to reward students who turn it in and encourage those who
don't always complete the assignment to work on it the next time. The tutoring is done with qualified
teachers and Uni students. Homework Clubs are great for students to sit together and complete their
work.

Love this idea. We share lunchroom duty and are free every third week so I could easily work this
reward into my schedule. I teach a combination class of third and fourth grade. It is hard when
homework is not a priority at home. Each booklet in the 'All About' series reflects a specific idea,
interest or suggestion from a child at Inspire. Each month, my students who stay in the club get to eat
their lunch in the room with me and they each get an award. When T-ball season arrives, I notice a
drop off in homework completion. After the Bible story, we mix in games, crafts, and other fun
interactive learning. When the students work together in a group, they can develop their social skills.
Our objective is to help students succeed in school by providing a safe learning environment,

chance (with a few passes) for a certificate, lunch and being posted on the Honmework Wall of
Fame. We know that each of you will develop your leadership capacity and be role models of our
school values in the community. At Go Beyond Academy, we organize several group activities for the
children so that they learn to work together. I've been doing one since 2006 and it's a huge hit every
year. I am very curious in hearing what you assign for 2nd or 3rd graders for homework. That way,

browser. About CMY The Centre for Multicultural Youth is a not-for-profit organisation based in
Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from migrant and refugee
backgrounds. We encourage all our Year 7 and 8 students to come along to a session. The idea of just
calling it a club will make my 4th graders want to do it. A behaviour learning ladder is a great visual
reminder for you and the students and includes a step by step warning system for your students. A

July 6, 2013 at 11:49 PM my 2nd grade team is starting homework this coming year, so this pack will
be most helpful. I teach 2nd and think this would really get the kids motivated!:) YOU ROCK. I
would love to win this and I think it would be great for me to use in 5th grade (since I'm being
moved this upcoming year). We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend
our respect to all Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. Do you tell
the kids it is a homework club, just not that they can miss one or two. After the Bible story, we mix in
games, crafts, and other fun interactive learning. Lent will be a focus of classroom religious
education lessons in the coming weeks. I try not to overwhelm my students with homework because

great to have you on board for this year’s Treehouse Savers adventure, keep banking regularly to
redeem some fun rewards. It gives them the perfect opportunity to complete their work on time.
They are required to get it signed and return it to school the next day. Our 'All About' series of
booklets have been developed to provide children with engaging learning experiences, through
interest-based themes. Elle enjoys maths, spelling and English, especially visual literacy. Not every
kid gets one every month, but I choose two or three at random each month to receive one. Our
objective is to help students succeed in school by providing a safe learning environment, homework
assistance, and character development opportunities. Make sure that the students who attend
homework club have a brain break and a chance to play before they are expected to focus and
